Since its establishment in 1990, The Islamic Movement of Florida (IMOF) has been committed to the propagation of Islam in accordance with the Quraan and Sunnah (Practices of Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). Throughout it’s history, IMOF has sought to provide a wide variety of Educational and Daโwah programs.
Our intent is to provide quality service, training and education to all. This is a necessary prerequisite in order to create a truly Islamic environment where brotherhood and kinship can be nurtured according to the Islamic principles of justice.
The IMOF administers an organized weekend Madrasah and daily classes in the evenings after Salaatul Esha’a and in the mornings after Salaatul Fajr.
The Islamic Movement of Florida has been committed to the propagation of Islam in accordance with the the Quraan and Sunnah.
IMOF works with other groups to provide a united agenda for Muslims and will continue to do so In’sha Allah (With Allahโs permission).
IMOF is continuously preparing todayโs Muslims to conquer tomorrow’s challenges with relevant educational sessions and specific programs. Programs include daily classes, Islamic summer camps, lectures, seminars and outdoor camps.
IMOF seeks to create a true Islamic atmosphere from which the entire community benefits.

6 months agoThe Islamic Movement of Florida falls drastically short in providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all worshippers. Despite mosques being intended as places of peace and spiritual uplift for the entire community, this organization allows discrimination and harassment to occur unchecked. There are individuals here who exhibit racist behavior and make others feel unwelcome based on their background. However, the administration takes no action to prevent these agitators from disrupting and deterring people from worshipping. There seems to be a complete lack of governance and enforcement of any code of conduct. Rather than being a safe space open to all Muslims, the Islamic Movement of Florida has an undercurrent of toxicity enabled by the leadership's absence of impartiality. A house of worship should bring people together, not push them apart through inaction against intolerant members. We should be away from political discussions because everyone in the mosque is going there to pray thereafter. Until this organization gets its act together, enforces firm anti-discrimination policies, and cultivates a truly inclusive atmosphere, I cannot recommend the Islamic Movement of Florida to anyone seeking a positive spiritual experience. The status quo is unacceptable.

a year agoSmall masjid with a good community that works together. I love that it is always available for me to stop and make prayer. They have good programs for the community and is one of my favorite Masjids to visit when I am in the area.
