My grandmother has been visiting this office and seeing Dr Dixon numerous times without incidence until recently. This 1 star review is for the poor service given to my grandmother by the medical assistant.
First mishap. Blood work is needed before her visits and Lisette said she was going to fax over the lab order to LabCorp before EOD. My grandma shows up at LabCorp and there's no fax order. I call AKDHC, but the office has been closed for 5 minutes and I had to leave a message for the Dr on call. LabCorp was open for another 30 minutes, but by the time the Dr on call called back and had the lab order sent over, it was 5pm and LabCorp was closed. My grandma had no choice but to come back the next day to get her blood drawn.
Second mishap. Lisette mentioned that there was an opening for a Thur 3:30pm appointment with Dr. Dixon. I had to confirm with my grandma to make sure they were available. When I called back, Lisette said that appointment was now unavailable and scheduled them for Friday 3pm. I have all this written down so I can relay this information to my grandma and her. Friday 3pm rolls around, they show up at the office and said their appointment was for the Thur 3pm appointment when I remember very clearly that Lisette said it was not available anymore. I confronted Lisette over the phone about how there has been two screw ups in 1 week relating to my grandmothers care. She denied responsibility and pretty much wasted my time and most importantly my grandparents time who have been driving back and forth between their home and LabCorp (twice) and between their home and the dr office. But thanks anyway for re-scheduling us for another appointment.....3 weeks later.
