We were very pleased with their selection, was happy they had the beef bacon we were ultimately looking. Our daughters was excited to have a great selection of gummy candies they can actually eat!
Great selection of Middle Eastern groceries and international food from even as far as Bangladesh and Turkey! I love their selection of perfume and essences.
The owners are lovely and the people here are always so nice and friendly, accomodating to questions, and always help you look around.
Despite the name, they don't carry any products from Israel. But they have a very good selection of Arabic products! I can find things here that im unable to find elsewhere.
What a cool & spacious international market! We decided to stop in after our visit to Saigon Bay which is in the same plaza (Terrace Oaks Plaza). I'm so glad that we did.
I think I was just as overwhelmed as others. They have more items galore from the EMR than I've seen in any other international market. There were imported tins of sweets that would make great gifts. There's a whole area of locally made bread from Holy City Bakery, and other bakeries. I think I was mostly surprised to see an entire section of various brands of medjool dates. My mother was a big fan of fresh dates. I wish she was still around to try them with me. This is something I will definitely return for when I have more time to shop.
There is also a butcher shop with lamb filet mignon, burger and cheese kufta rolls, and these pretty lamb Turkish delight creations. They are all perfect for grilling.
I ended up getting a box of instant cardamom masala chai. It's the only way I know how to make it. Haha! There was an inexpensive brand called Tea Break. I think it tastes better than QuickTea. That spicy cardamom totally awakens your senses. I need more of it. It may end up being a daily ritual for me.
Definitely check out this market if you happen to be anywhere near 56th Street and Fowler Ave. This whole area has become a magnet for all things international.
