a month agoA rare and an amazing vegan Egyptian restaurant. The atmosphere was cozy and warm. We did not get a best seat as the best ones were occupied, but that was masked by the amazing food. We got the cool cucumber mint dip on a hot summer day, and came with the soft and wonderful bread. We got Koshari for dinner, a unique flavor for me, reminds me of a lot of Indian flavors. Overall a wonderful experience. Did not get to try any desserts, but they looked sooooo yummmmmm!!! Maybe next time, will update this in sometime

3 months agoCame in with a party of 5 on a Sunday night and were sat immediately. The decor and music made for a really cool atmosphere. Our waitress and the other staff were all so friendly and welcoming! We tried a variety of specials, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. There was not a single plate we did not enjoy! The food was delicious and well presented. I highly recommend this restaurant and canโt wait to go back myself!!

a month agoGreat place, love their food. It was packed and we were given a table in the back, it was cozy but had red light that could not differentiate the color of the food. But if you get a seating in the main room itโs great! This was my second time here. There is parking lot in front of the restaurant. Falafel is a must try.

3 months agoโญโญโญโญโญ Koshari Mama in Somerville, MA, is a gem for authentic and delicious Arabic cuisine. Koshari, a beloved dish from my time in Egypt, brought me to the location, but the rest of the experience pleasantly surprised me. The refreshing cucumber mint dip, a unique offering you don't typically find, was a perfect start. As a vegan haven, every dish was thoughtfully prepared, from the comforting lentil soup to the flavorful power bowl with spicy chickun. The desserts were a highlightโthe semolina with orange crust and creamy rice pudding were simply divine. Our server Destiny "mama look from where you calling" was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and we enjoyed great conversations about music and Caribbean culture. She played some great tunes, and with her Caribbean background and our own connections to the islands, we felt a special rapport. The unique ambiance, featuring interesting use of pallets for some tables and creative dรฉcor, added to the welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for anyone craving genuine Egyptian vegan dishes!
