a week agoI walked into the restaurant, and it was empty. Not a single person other than me. I ordered spinach pie for a carryout. But l did not receive spinach pie. Instead the man who took my order prepared fresh pita bread with feta, tomatoes, onions and parsley. It was delicious! But not what l ordered. He should have told me that he didn't have any spinach pie.

2 months agoI recently dined at la kabob and had a delightful experience. We started with the hummus and garlic, both of which were excellent. The hummus was smooth and flavorful, complemented perfectly by the fresh bread. My friend opted for the falafel sandwich, which was impressively large and delicious. The falafel was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making it a satisfying choice. I ordered the chicken shawarma with rice and salad, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was well-seasoned and tender, and the rice and salad were fresh and tasty. Overall, the meal was very enjoyable, and I look forward to returning.

2 months agoWe walked in for dinner and right off the bat this place was FREEZING and had a strange smell. The first time we tried this place we had carry out and it was good so we were excited to come back and dine in. This time it was clearly not the owners who were running the place so maybe that's why, but the food and service were terrible. We had two fattoush salads one with chicken one with beef. The beef was tough and tasteless. The chicken was a bit better, but not by much. Lots of soggy veggies in the fattoush. The bread was so undercooked, we couldn't even eat it. Also no garlic paste was served. I'm Lebanese so I know good fattoush and bread and this wasnt it. The waiter also didn't even check on us, but was busy sitting in the back playing on his phone. I think when the owners are there its likely better, because the first carry out we got seemed to be the owner and was much better. Perhaps they need better staff. Good points were the servings were large and the prices very reasonable compared to other Arabic restaurants.

10 months agoAn absolutely incredible Mediterranean restaurant. Lebanese/Mediterranean food is my favorite, I have tried a large chunk of Mediterranean restaurants around metro Detroit and La Kabob is definitely in my top 5. The main thing that stood out to me was the quality of the food. Everything I ate tasted like someone really took the time to cook this food with care. Even the bread had incredible quality. I will definitely be back.

a month agoAmong tons of kabob and mediterranean food places in Detroit La kabob is one of top three I would recommend to visit during weekdays offering authentic food options including the bread made to order.
