9 months agoThis is sort of a classic college place, that's open super late, serves cheap food, and fills you up. I am actually quite surprised they combined pizza and Middle Eastern food under one roof, but that's pretty cool. I tried food from bath menus. So, I tried the the calzone and the Arabic style chicken shawarma. The chicken shawarma was very good, and I definitely recommend it. Not as good as Omar's but still great. Portion was awesome. The chicken was a tad dry but the garlic sauce balanced it out. That sauce was insanely good and garlicky. Standard wrap casing, a little flimsy. It also came with fries and a little pickled salad. All the vegetables were crispy and refreshing (cucumbers, carrots and beets I believe). Fries went really well with the garlic sauce too. Decent crisp. The calzone was pretty underwhelming. It was undercooked and pretty much all white. The cheese wasn't the best quality I believe. A tad soggy. I'd recommend skipping it, but the price is good. All in all, a fine spot. Great for the Mediterranean food, not so much for the pizza.

9 months agoA great place for fast American food and staples of fast Middle Eastern food. We had Arabi chicken Shawerma and Arabi meat Shawerma. Both were really good, though NY favourite was the meat shawerma by far. We also had pepperoni pizza for our kid, and they gave it thumbs up. The shawerma is halal. For pepperoni pizza, you have to specifically ask for halal pepperoni and they will provide that. Definitely coming back again to try other food items.

2 months agoOrdered off of Slice. Pretty decent pizza. Cooked well and nice no delivery charge so I gave extra to the driver. Would order again.

a year agoA friend recommended this place for their shawarma, and which was absolutely phenomenal. I got the beef shawarma platter, which came with fantastic seasoned fries, 4 different kinds of pickled vegetables, and a delicious garlic sauce. Truly one of the best meals I have had in this city! Friendly staff, delicious food, and great prices. Definitely check them out when you are in South Oakland.

a year agoGreat foods friendly staff!!! Open late, our flight was 3+ hours late and this was only a few place nearby that was open after midnight!!! Didn’t know what to expect but was pleasantly surprised! Falafels were great, given to us while we waited for the food! Calzones were HUGE! Great tasting foods! We enjoyed the calzone and chicken Shawarmas!!!
