a week agoWas here today to see doctor Ashraf and I was not impressed. My family doctor sent a referral here because an alter sound came back where it was revealed my pancreas was holding water. Instead of figuring out the issue, and why the pancreas is holding water, he basically told me where I was experiencing the pain was not related to the current issue. I felt rushed out the door, and the doctor seemed annoyed I was even there. (Labs have repeat showed high levels, this stuff just doesnโt happen. So better hope the insurance covers the visit because I will not pay money just for my vitals to be done, and sent out the door. (Since that is all they actually did ). Also not use to a doctor reading the referral charts as he is seeing me, typically doctors who have a little more passion for patients came well prepared, and have already read there notes, and know what they are already seeing me for. Just some food for though, since my pancreas levels came back high again today, the family doctor will now have to send me somewhere else, so we can actually get answers to what is going on and why my Lipase Level is over 900. (As of the test I did this morning)

weeks agoDO NOT see Dr. Dileepa Ramanayake Pathirannehelage. I've never had a Doctor not only take a phone call on their cell phone let alone have the conversation sitting in the room during an appointment. It was a personal phone call, not another doctor or client. Completely UNPROFESSIONAL. Didn't look over his notes before coming into the room and acted like he didn't know why we were there. Then they proceed to schedule an allergy appointment in Iowa City without asking if driving that distance was feasible because as she said "They have better allergy doctors down there". My husband sees allergy doctors in this area that are fantastic. NEVER going back. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

months agoDr. Kalala is the absolute best, he really cares about you and does everything he can to help. Angie his nurse is also amazing. Those two are the only reason for the 5 stars, the rest of the staff are like the other reviews state and seem to not care or know what they are doing.

months agoI am the care giver for the patient. Both appointments we had were scheduled for 9am. We waited over 2 hours both times with no explanation from the staff to keep us informed. Change appointment times to reflect more accurate timing for the patient. This long wait time interferes with other Doctor appointments for the patient.

months agoThe Dr. didn't really listen to anything I said. Pushed a colonoscopy due to weight loss which I refused because it wasn't needed. I know why I lost the weight, and it wasn't related to anything a colonoscopy was needed for, which I tried to tell them. I went ahead with scheduling the breath test they wanted to do. They scheduled it 2 months out, at the wrong facility, and then also canceled last minute without informing me. I only found out when I went to do the online registration the night before and it said I couldn't cause the appt was canceled. Glad I didn't travel an hour for an appointment that was no longer scheduled.
