Unassuming market offering Middle Eastern groceries, spices & halal meat, as well as hookah tobacco.

At the Madina Market, we are known for our selection of fresh breads from our in house bakery. Our breads and baked goods are always fresh because we take the time to bake several times a day for our shoppers. We offer bread from the middle east such as delicious naan, Ethiopian bread, baguettes and so much more.

I really like this store for many reasons it reminds me of Arab stores and you can find all the Arab groceries there that you normally wonโ€™t find it at other halal groceries. They also have a bakery and restaurant in the back and the food is great! I bought kanefe slice today (around $5.50) wasnโ€™t my favorite a little too sweet for my taste but they also have baklava and basbousa + all the other goodies like European chocolates/treats. If you are in the area definitely check them out

One of the few halal markets in northern Virginia where you can find halal zabiha hand cut meats. However they don't have any certifications. I asked to see the boxes and they were from HMS certified suppliers. I don't want to have to ask every time. It can get busy so always best to call in advance. Really wish they would get certified

We bought JELABI two days ago from them but found out the following night that it had gone bad. It was probably sitting in his store for months. Took a picture of it before I put it in the trash bag. We also bought meat from them not knowing it was spoiled. The meat smelled bad after cooking it. Thatโ€™s when we knew it was spilled. Did not have this problem before - been shopping here for years now but I feel quality of product is not as good as it used to be.
