3 months agoI recently visited Mahmoud's Corner Halal Food Cart and had a mixed experience. The service was fantastic; I believe the person who served me was one of the owners. He was incredibly nice and friendly, which made the visit pleasant. However, the food left much to be desired. I ordered a chicken sandwich wrapped in pita, which unfortunately turned out to be quite disappointing. The sandwich mostly consisted of fries with very little chicken, making it not worth the money I spent. The service at Mahmoud's Corner Halal Food Cart was beyond excellent, but the food quality needs improvement. The sandwich I received did not meet my expectations, primarily due to the lack of chicken and the way it is priced.

2 weeks agoThe best halal truck in NYC! And I do not say that lightly. Iโve been coming here since college, when I worked a retail job on Steinway St and would stop here on my way home. The guys in the truck were sweet to me and the food was so good it made forget my hours on the register. They add French fries and creamy eggplant to the sandwiches and the sauce is perfect. On more than one occasion, Iโve talked to someone about our favorite halal carts and found that we both love this one, haha.

a month agoThe service here is great, but the food is lackluster for the price and the hype that this place gets. There is not much meat in the rice platters, and the food is not as flavorful as some other halal places in NYC.

3 years agoThe best Halal food iโve tried in New York city so far. The amount is very generous and the flavour is delicious. I ordered the mixed meat over rice with extra hot sauce and jalapeรฑos. The combination is just perfect, the amount of white sauce and hot sauce is just perfect. The combo comes with fries and grilled eggplant which hits the spot for me. The amount of meat is good and compliments the whole dish very well. I returned again after trying it for the first time. The staff are friendly and they prepare the order after every order so its not like they give out ready meals. I was very impressed with their food and would love to return again.
