2 months agoThe worst experience with this office. It took me a long time 9months to be exact to write this review because I honestly wanted them to get things right but time after time they have shown unprofessionalism, no sympathy for their patient, and rudeness. I donโt want to share the details of my experience due to privacy reason both financially and medically.

10 months agoI tried to give this clinic a chance. I had my son five months ago and scheduled an appointment here for all three of my boys. The first visit was pleasant no issues at all. They told me to pay 150 for my newborn first visit and itโll be refunded once his insurance came. Here we are five months later and I have yet to be refunded. My second time coming to this clinic, the nurse took my oldest 9 and middle child 3 to get their weight and height while I undressed my newborn. Somehow my toddler is walking around the clinic with another patientโs mother looking for me. I asked the nurse why on this here planet earth did she think it was okay to let him wonder off by himself. She didnโt have a response. That same visit the other nurse came in to give my baby his shots. She stabbed his legs so hard that he ended up with bruises on both legs. My third visit I went in for my baby 4 month check up. As much as they call your phone, I didnโt get a call that my appointment would be canceled if I didnโt change their pcp to this clinic. I walked in blindsided as the unprofessional front desk clerk told me I have to call at this moment or they canโt see my baby. God felt my spirit because I found out earlier that day that a new childrenโs national clinic was next door. I decided at that moment I was switching all my children out. I spoke will the lady who does the billing and she explained that the insurance will not pay for the visit if I do not switch the pcp. I completely understood. However, she proceeds to tell me my two oldest have been switch and I stated I donโt see how when I didnโt make a call for their pcp to be switch. She stated the staff must have done it. But how without my consent? I then asked her about my refund and she stated to me a claim was never put in and to call her in two weeks sheโll have a status. Whenever I call sheโs on the line or busy and canโt talk. As I was getting my son medical records to provide to Childrenโs National, the same unprofessional desk clerk told me itโll be two weeks to process. I was too busy trying to figure out who she was playing with as I tapped and read the sign out loud that stated โmedical records- 35.00 dollars and 72 hours to process.โ Just for me to come back 4 days later to obtain the records and she goes to print them out ๐ฅด. So to sum it up. They gaslight, steal, and lie right in your face with a little razzle dazzle of having no empathy for the babies and irresponsible with children. Two stars for the doctors they are phenomenal.

a year agoIt is unfortunate that I have to write such a review; however, it is warranted. When I initially brought my girls to the Bowie office, there were no issues, albeit the office presents as outdated with folding chairs in the waiting room, broken chairs in the exam room and peeling paint on the walls; however duly noted. Dr. Erayna Grant was very pleasant and informative during an initial wellness visit. My second visit for my second child for their wellness checkup was a bit hectic, slow, and unprofessional. The front desk staff interacted with the patients by directing patients and families from the front desk to their waiting room...if I am not clear, we were told which waiting room to walk ourselves to, and from there waited and waited and waited...I contemplated walking out, but stayed. My third child's well visit was the worst. The office was not busy, but somehow understaffed. We walked in and there sat a front desk associate, who was busy on the phone, and Dr. Erayna Grant...not busy, while another attendant walked another family back to their rooms. We stood for 5 minutes before the front desk personal acknowledged us, who was still providing customer service via phone. Kudos to her. However, the second front desk personal saw us standing and yet did not greet us, but instead took a phone call. The one associate, who was still providing customer service via phone, instructed us to walk back to an exam room...again, we walked ourselves to an exam room that was not prepped for an exam. We waited and waited and waited. No one came to our room. At that moment, I realized that this office was not the office for our family. I walked up to the front, where the front desk personnel and Dr. Erayna Grant were talking small talk. I advised that we would like to cancel our visit and stated the reasons why. Not one time did Dr. Erayna Grant voiced a word to me and my children, but instead offered a smile and the proceeded to walk to a waiting room. How dismissive and unprofessional is that? Dr. Grants actions, or the lack thereof further solidified our departure. As a new family to Maryland, Bowie - PG County, the questions I have are: why is the lack of customer service, care, and concern acceptable? Would this be acceptable in another county? How can we improve as a community? Sadly, Maryland Children Health Center is not for our family and we will be not returning.

2 years agoI use to love this office. Thankfully my son is a teenager now and doesnโt need to come much but this last visit was horrific. Waited over 2.5 hours WITH AN APPOINTMENT. Was told I was next an hour before a young lady came in to tell me that Iโll still have to wait because thereโs a (walk in) that was here for 3 hours! None of this makes sense. Overbooking or allowing walk-ins when thereโs only one provider is bad business. Greed is always at the forefront of a Drs. Office but is it really worth it when ur practice is becoming disgraceful!

7 years agoI would like to start this off by saying that this isn't a terrible office. But on a scale of 1 - 10, it's definitely a 4. Every single time I call into this office, the receptionists act like I've inconvenienced them by calling. They mumble and speak too fast and I have a very difficult time figuring out what is being said. I have yet to encounter any receptionist there that acts in a professional manner. Additionally, they do not ask me when we would like our next appointment scheduled; they just hand me a card with the date and time. The wait times in the office are ridiculous. I have an 8 month old baby and we schedule everything around his naps. The last time we were there, it was a two hour visit. An hour of which was spent in the waiting room. By the time we made it back to be seen, my baby had fallen asleep in my arms and had a total of 10 minutes of sleep before he had to be woken up to finally have his check up. The doctor herself is okay but not great enough to compensate for the rest of the office. I will not be going back there at all. Again, it is not a horrible place for child care. It is just adequate; I've been to way better places. It's a three star doctor's office with a one star staff.
