Maryland Oncology Hematology – Germantown

I got a referral and have been trying to reach them by phone for the last 2 days. I've called 8-12 times and been stuck in the phone loop for 15+ minutes each time. Hopefully they are better at medicine than answering the phone...not that I'll ever find out at this rate. I've also filled out an electronic appointment request on the website and haven't gotten a response to that either.

Fortunately and unfortunately we met Dr. Mahmoud, Mahwish, and the staff at Maryland Oncology in May 2021 when my husband was diagnosed with pancytopenia. Dr Mahmoud did and ordered additional tests to determine he really had lymphoma and leukemia- yes both! Dr. Mahmoud has provided the best care and even consulted a specialist in another health care system for my husband’s case. If you’re facing cancer or a blood disease consider Maryland oncology hematology!

I have been seeing Dr. O’Connor since my breast cancer diagnosis and accidental diagnosis of CLL in May of 2018. She has always been very informative in such a way as to not freak me out which I very much appreciate. My entire experience over the past 5 years with all the staff has certainly been as good as it could be. I am grateful to have had the team that I did.

Fabulous experience from ladies at the front desk to nurses to lab workers to infusionists to PA to Doctors. They are always there for you to explain support or just offer a hug if needed. Fantastic practice would recommend to everyone

What a refreshingly great office, staff and providers. Dr. Mahmood always takes his time to review tests, answer questions and stays on schedule. Likewise the staff is friendly and prompt. I wish I could say that about other doctors that I have seen in the last several years.
