Welcome to Mashawi Damascus Cuisine, where every meal tells a story, and every flavor is a bridge to our rich heritage. Founded by a family of passionate cooks and business men who immigrated to the United States in the early 1980s, we have been sharing the warmth and traditions of Syrian and Mediterranean cuisine with the Denver area for over three decades!

2 weeks agoWe found this place on the way to CO Springs and I am glad we did! We started with a house salad that was simply amazing. With cucumber, onions, kalmata olives plenty of the tangy dressing and seasoning what could be better? The side of falafel and was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Presentation was also top shelf! Baked Lamb and rice sandwich. Well over a 1/3 lbs of sweet succulent lamb surrounded by jasmine rice and veggies. WORD OF CAUTION: Leave the gyro in the wrapper on and peel it down while you eat it! The Pita is not strong enough to hold it all!

a month agoA true gem in Castle Rock!! One of the greatest come back stories ever in Castle Rock! Mashawi Damascus Grill, formerly Damascus Grill, had informed their Facebook page earlier this year their landlord wanted to end their lease early because the LL didn't want a restaurant in their space. Totally understandable! After Damascus Grill informed their followers about this, oh boy did Castle Rock rally SO HARD to help save them so they would stay in Castle Rock. Cue a few weeks later.... Due to the residents of Castle Rock who wanted to keep Damascus Grill here, a treasured gem that has been here for nearly 19 or so years, they were able to stay! They were given a 6 month extension to find a new place. So many of us were so happy that the landlord listened to the residents and gave Damascus Grill time to find a new home. They are now Mashawi Damascus Grill, and they are still the same Damascus Grill we've always loved! If you've never been here... I HIGHLY recommend giving this place out a try. We love them so much! Some of these photos are when they were Damascus Grill, but they are still the same amazing quality!

a month agoReally great food and service. Brought kids for lunch so they can experience the food. They both loved it too. We had the dips sampler which were good size servings of 5 different dips, lots of pita bread to use too. One kid got the chicken sandwich and was so much took half home, other kid had the meat combo with 3 types of meat, he like the chicken and beef best but the lamb was ok for him just not "his fav". I had the lentil soup and it was awesome. Very filling too. We tried one of each of the desserts too and they were a very nice ending to a great meal.

2 months agoDamascus Grill, now Mashawi Damascus Cuisine, is back! They're in a new location - the strip mall next to the library - with better parking and more seating. The menu has expanded with new dishes and the old favorites are still there, too. I didn't recognize any of the staff but they were all friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended for lunch and perfect for dinner dates. Pro-tip: if you feel overly stuffed afterward because you just couldn't stop eating all the delicious food, take the time to walk over to Festival Park for a nice stroll.

2 months agoSuch a treat to experience authentic Syrian cuisine right here in Castle Rock! The food was delicious! Highly recommend the Syrian chicken soup, falafel platter, and baked lamb, which all came with a side of fresh hummus and pita bread. There are many new options on the menu, and plenty of seating. The new location is easier to accessโright next to the new libraryโwith plenty of parking. Looking forward to our next visit!
