a month agoFirst time coming to this mosque for Friday prayer. Majority of the mosque is African American and the imam is also African American which is fine by me I don't have a problem with it. But where I do have a problem is, how the person giving the khutbah is constantly mentioning black Muslims etc.. if you are Muslim then you are Muslim. No one needs to hear about the black crowd only. It just feels like a Black Lives Matter community. If you are Muslim then there's no such thing as segregation towards other Muslims. When it comes time to pray it doesn't matter if the person either side of you is Afghani or Yemeni etc.. thats not what makes a community. Stop mentioning Black Muslims nobody cares what you ethnically are if you are Muslim.

11 months agoThis Masjid has truly lost its way. Itโs full predominately of African American Muslims who feel like if they donโt know you then they donโt have to help you. I reached out for help with burying my father, Rekiyah the wife of the Imam never got back to me and ignored my telephone calls for help. What does this say about them?????? All I can say is go somewhere else if you are looking for a place of worship. Also if you are a new Muslim Runnnnnnn! I donโt want you to get the wrong perception of what Islam is truly about.
