Medawar Jewelers is a family owned business first established overseas in 1920 by Chakib Medawar a renowned watch and clock maker The family immigrated to the United States in the mid 70’s and expanded the business into jewelry sales, jewelry repair and custom design. Pierre and Catrine Medawar along with their children Christina and Jon-Pierre have taken the business to a new level with multiple locations in Lansing, Okemos, Jackson, and Portage. Our family of stores continue to grow as we continue to manufacture the highest quality designs, bring in the latest and most innovative jewelry lines and import the world’s most exquisite diamonds. Jon-Pierre M.
Jon-Pierre Medawar was born and raised in the fine jewelry industry. His fondest memory as a child was sitting with his father (Pierre Medawar) learning the ins and outs of diamond grading, jewelry design and repair. Throughout grade school and college Jon-Pierre’s passion for jewelry design grew stronger and stronger. By the age of nineteen he became a master jeweler for Medawar Jewelers and as of November 1, 2011, Jon-Pierre became president of Medawar Jewelers of Lansing. Jon-Pierre takes pride in each and every piece created and sold at Medawar Jewelers of Lansing. Whether you would like to pick from the many designers he carries in-store or have him create a one-of-a-kind custom piece for you, we guarantee your experience working with Jon-Pierre will be nothing short of excellent.

4 months agoNice guys, good place. Jeweler was honest, educated, and fast considering their were 6 customers all at once . Because some smaller diamonds tested as sapphire they would not do a complete appraisal. This is normal. They recommended using Worthy diamonds online, to sell at auction. Well done, I appreciate being treated very well . I will definitely consider buying rings here, when I am ready .

6 months agoI cannot say enough good things about this place. I have the most gorgeous rings and I am shocked that this is real life! I met with Brian and Austin for my engagement ring and also my wedding bands. They helped create exactly what I was looking for and more. Both of them are so personable and kind. You can tell it is their passion to create the jewelry that you want. They also seem just as excited as you are when they get to hand you the new piece of jewelry. I will forever recommend going to see Brian and Austin and JP for any type of rings. We love them!

4 months agoWhile we purchased the ring earlier in the year, I am writing this after the proposal. My partner and I went to Medawars with only a vague idea of what we wanted the ring to look like, but Brian and Austin were both incredibly knowledgeable and able to guide us. My ring is incredibly beautiful and everything I never knew I wanted!

5 months agoRun donโt walk to Medawar Jewelers of West Lansing for all of your jewelry needs! Brian has been nothing less than amazing from our engagement ring experience to our custom wedding ring experience. Austin is always so helpful and was so patient with me when we were trying to find the perfect non-matching wedding band. JPโs custom work is like nothing weโve ever seen before. 8 months agoThere arenโt enough words to describe how awesome JP and his staff are. JP is a master of his craft. His love and passion come through in every piece. His creativity is unmatched. The support around him is top notch. I spent time corresponding with Austin and he was so patient and totally got meโฆheโs the absolute best. The attention to detail by everyone is felt with every treasure made. Iโve purchased two JP originals so farโฆincluding a remake of my coveted engagement ring. I trusted him with an extremely sentimental pieceโฆso much so I sent it all the way from New Jersey. I will be a client for life!
