There is an Urgent care closer to my house but I will go out of my way to go to this one because of the service they provide. The staff is friendly and caring. The attention given to your needs makes seeing a doctor less scary, especially when you have underlying risk factors. Everyone that works there possesses a great bedside manner. The facility is quiet, clean and inviting.
Walked in around lunch time on a Tuesday with unexplained, excruciating pain in my hand. I was greeted with a warm hello. Sign-in/check-in process was quick and simple. I was seen within around 30 minutes after arriving. The nurse was very friendly, and the doctor had excellent bedside manners. They did request to (audio) record the conversation between the doctor and Iโฆwhich was differentโฆ.but I was okay with it as all that mainly concerned me was not being in any more pain! I also appreciated that they did ask up front and werenโt just โsecretlyโ recording. The doctor called in another doctor to get an additional opinion on my hand, which I thought was a very mindful and professional approach. He could have made his own individual assessment and diagnosed and provided me with a treatment accordingly. His approach however showed that he truly wanted to do what was best for me! The doctors agreed to give me shot for the pain, which worked almost immediately. An ice pack and an x-ray later and I was being discharged! I was in and out in less than two hours! Iโve been to other urgent care facilities where Iโve waited to be seen for close to two hours!!! While I donโt live locally to this Hyattsville location, I would travel here again if needed to encounter their swift and efficient service!!!
Thanks to the staff at urgent care, my muscles are relaxed. I pulled a few muscles working out at the gym, and they were tender. The front desk staff were professional and polite and helped me get through my registration. My wait time for the actual doctors was long, maybe about 40 minutes, but the doctors explained she came in to help out, so I do understand that. Other than that, my doctor was great, and she agreed I pulled a few muscles. Iโve always been a MedStar patient for over 20 years, and I am going to continue to be. QueenAfi
I called Urgent Care and was able to sign in for 3:00. After I was signed in, a nurse took my vitals and information about symptoms. After a wait I then saw a Nurse Practitioner, who diagnosed me and gave me a prescription for medicine. Everyone was very nice and accommodating, and I felt like they really cared about my welfare.
It was a very pleasant experience at this facility. I typically do not have high expectations for the โfast healthโ industry as they may not have the best customer service because the doctors do not know their patients, but the staff here were very friendly and nice and did exactly what they were suppose to do. Struck up conversation, etc. Overall a pretty great facility, very easy to deal with insurance.
