5 months agoThe food was really good. I ordered for take out a full chicken on charcoal. It came in two boxes with large portions of rice in addition to hummus, and salad.

10 months agoThe food was different, but in a good way. Everything tasted fresh, and homemade. Even the pickled turnips seemed homemade. The food was flavorful, I could distinguish many spices, such as a slightly strong cumin taste. I would definitely visit again. Yes the inside and outside look a little sketch, and there's some minor odd qualities, such as Kleenex boxes at all the tables, instead of actual napkins. Not a big deal though. Overall, the food was fresh, homemade, flavorful, and moderately priced.

6 months agoOverall an underrated establishment. Atmosphere: Aside from the building, the interior decor really seems reminiscent of a middle eastern yurt. Food: I ordered grape leaves and the mixed grill platter. Food came out in a reasonable time and the meats were cooked appropriately. Grape leaves were juicy and tart as they should be. Steak kebab was cooked medium, chicken was cooked through and had a perfect char. Lamb was the most flavorful and was also done medium. Generous portion of rice and salad. Hummus is a bit dry for my liking but not bad by any means. Anwar is quite a friendly gentleman. I tried some of the Turkish Coffee and it is quite good. Seems to be a man who is passionate about the food he serves. Overall the food was good tasting, fresh, and of generous portion to price ratio. I do beleive that the exterior facade may deter some from trying this restaurant, but the reviews are true to their word in my opinion. Give it a shot.

5 months agoGrilled tasty meat, aromatic rice, charred veggies with sides of creamy hummus and the herb, cucumber and tomato salad with flat bread on a huge platter that could feed two. What's not to like? Service and atmosphere are homey.

3 years agoI had a great experience here. First off this was down of the hottest (tempo) takeout food I've ever had. The Chicken schwarma was really tasty and the fried were crispy and fluffy. Great flavors and fresh made. They have some indoor and outdoor seating and you can order online. There was some confusion with my online order when I went to pick it up. So make sure you are very clear you have an online order.
