5 months agoFrom the moment I met Dr. Al Sibae and his staff I felt comfortable that they would do everything possible to insure I received the life saving liver transplant that I needed. 5 years post transplant this July. Simply the best transplant team in Michigan and in my opinion the entire country. I am however, still waiting for my t-shirt!!

7 months agoDr Al Sibae has been my hepatologist for over 6 years and has guided me through major pre and post abdominal surgery. Whether I was in the hospital pre and post surgery or seeing him for an appointment he always made me feel like the most important person and listened to my questions. Super smart and the physician you want to have in your corner for anything liver related. I absolutely recommend him.

10 months agoActually Dr Al Sibae is a fine Dr and specialist. Yes he has a very busy office, but all my visits there have been handled professionally both by the staff and Dr. If you are prepared with the questions you want answered he will do that. I do not agree with these negative reviews. The expectation should be informed and well studied expertise and a competent staff. That is exactly what you will receive!

2 years agoI cannot recommend this doctor and his team enough. I have a lot of issues that are caused from cirrhosis of the liver ans dr Al Sibae and his PA Chelsea have been wonderful in explainign everything from the very beginning. They are incredibly easy to get in touch with and are very responsive. They advocate for their patients with other doctors and honestly probably saved my life. I had so many symptoms that I beleived were happending due to bigger underlying issues and my pcp gave me the run around. I called dr Al Sibae office explaining my symptoms, amd they immediately ordered tests which they really didn't need to do. Turned out my hemoglobin was at 4.8 and ended up in hospital for 5 days with multiple blood transfusions. If they hadn't done that I could've ended up with multiple organ failure with those low levels. Highly recommend this doctor and his team.

a year agoIf you are looking for caring and professional healthcare provider, look elsewhere. The doctor, nurse and office staff is very unprofessional and inconsiderate. I called and left a message for Dr. Al Sibae in December and still waiting for a call. I would not recommend this doctor, we had 2 virtual visits he did not show up for and the third time he was early demanding I join immediately while he was unprepared. After that meeting, the doctor recommended I see another specialist (why I have no idea as there was no indication/tests/etc ) however I made an appointment in which the specialist asked for a referral. I called Dr. Al Sibae's office to get the referral and it was not completed on why it only said 'referral'. In addition, I was messaging through the portal and after more than a week requested the nurse to call me directly, who refused. The nurse argued back and forth via the portal on a test she was supposed to order that she hadn't and it was not showing in the portal. After three days of that, I called the front desk and the young lady was able to confirm the test had not been ordered and not on the portal, it was then the nurse ordered the test. We know if you are going to see a hematologist, you are most likely anxious. This doctor and his office staff is not going to have the care and concern you are seeking. If recommended to this doctor, I suggest you ask for another recommendation. Do not trust your health to a doctor that don't give a damn.
