Mr. Kabob Xpress Grille & Catering Troy

I was a bit disappointed, this looked so good online in the photos. Ordered the Xpress Entree which looked so good online. However their was very little chicken and so much rice, and the entre only came with a two half pieces of pita, not a nice stack like in the photos. The chicken cream chops and garlic sauce were rather good, however the rice tasted strongly of plastic, which was such a shame because it was 2/3rds of the Entree. I think it could be because the hot food is put into a plastic container, so maybe I will try on another occasion with the bowls that are done in paper, because it could have been very good if it hadn't tasted of plastic.

It is like a Mediterranean Chipotle! Yet cleaner, bigger portions and better tasting! I have been going to that place for couple of years now. I dined in multiple times, but this picture was taken from a Door Dash delivery order. You basically build your bowl or wrap. They do have premade combinations that you can just order, but building your own bowl is the way to go. You start by a base of different types of hummus, garlic sauce, grilled veggies and rice. You can add all or none, it’s really up to you, but you have no limit on how many items you can add. After the base, you have tons of topping options, then you add your protein. For protein options, my favorites are chicken shawarma (not really shawarma, more of grilled chicken, but it is really good), and the chicken cream chop. Steak shawarma is little bit dry, but not bad. Then you end with a sauce on top. I would be careful while building the bowl as you can end up adding huge amounts that pile up! I also tried their baklava. I would say not the best I ever tried, but good enough for after meal dessert! I have seen this place quality going down few months ago, but looks like they’re back on track and I’m happy for that as I really like it.

Clean, fresh, tasty. What more could ask you for. Great service (check) generous portions (check) nice atmosphere (but of course).

Been ordering carry out from here for years. It was one of my favorite places. Well things are going sideways and this last order was the cherry on the cake, thus this review. My bowl was so packed with onion that I feel like I took off an entire onion off of it. Hopefully something will change soon as they just hire ANYONE these days.

Came here for lunch with my coworkers. The restaurant was nice and clean. The workers were really nice and friendly. It’s a restaurant that has similar style to Chipotle where you can pick and choose. The food was great. I ordered a bowl with garlic spread, rice, lettuce, grilled veggies, gyro meat, spicy garlic sauce. Everything was good and fresh. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends and family, and I will come back again.
