Naf Naf means to ‘fan the flame.’ The expression is used as an invitation for friends and family to gather and share a meal together. Back in 2009, Sahar Sander, our late founder, opened the first Naf Naf in Naperville, Illinois and invited the community in to try his authentic handmade recipes true to his Middle Eastern upbringing. We still serve those recipes today at every Naf Naf and invite you in to share a meal with us.

We promise to be your guide to exploring the best flavors of the Middle East each time we make our handmade dishes, like pillowy pita, crispy falafel, savory shawarma, and our scratch-made signature sauces.

All of our handmade deliciousness is offered in the spirit of our late founder Sahar Sander, by our teams who welcome you in to discover, delight, and share.

Every day, we're inspired by Sahar, who embodied Middle Eastern community, hospitality, and everything about Naf Naf's true meaning.

The centerpiece of every Naf Naf Grill is our open kitchen and bakery. We cook everything in view so you can see the fresh pitas baking to the shawarmas spinning over an open flame. You'll customize your pita or bowl with a delicious array of proteins, freshly prepared salads and authentic Middle Eastern sauces. The end result is pure perfection: an unparalleled balance of Middle Eastern colors and flavors that truly fans the flame of your curiosity (and your appetite).

Our Chicken Shawarma is hand-built using the freshest poultry available, slowly roasted throughout the day for you to see, and carved thin in the traditional and most delectable ways.

Our falafel is killer with no filler. Forget the bagged falafel mix; we do it only one way at Naf Naf Grill: the right way. Only fresh chickpeas, onions, peppers, spices and herbs make it into our freshly-ground, hand-crafted falafel. Why do we go to such lengths to make our falafel fresh? Because you’re our guest. And you’re worth it.

At Naf Naf, pita is not just a science, it’s an art form. These melt-in-your-mouth, cloud-like circles of yum are baked in small batches every day for your pleasure. Our pita bread has a reputation and we’re proud of our baby. Stop in for lunch one day and you may get prime courtside seats to watch our highly-skilled bakers do their thing. If you’re lucky, you might even get welcomed with the incomparable aroma of warm pita bread baking.
