4 months agoI would like to share the most awful experience at Nyack Hospital. My girlfriend was treated there for a car accident. We waited 7 hrs before a Dr. saw us. She never even touched her to see what was going on! We were in a hallway and she was in extreme pain. She wasnโt even nice or cared much. We just went to Passaic Valley Hospital and a nurse and doctor saw her in seconds. It just annoys me especially when you hear bad things about Nyack Hospital!! They never called for a follow up. Iโm extremely disappointed and will be following up on a complaint!! For your love ones I think they should know โค๏ธ

5 months agoI've visited this hospital three times in recent months, but unfortunately, the wait times have not shown any improvement. The staffing shortage seems severe, and it's disheartening that no action has been taken to address it. If possible, I strongly suggest seeking care elsewhere. If that's not feasible, consider bringing snacks to avoid hunger during long waits, and don't hesitate to advocate for your own care, particularly at Nyack Hospital.

a year agoI usually donโt leave reviews, but last night really upset me. In the past I was taken care before with two lovely people. That day I ended up staying over night and the rest of the doctors that were checking up on me were all loving, gentle, caring, and nurturing. I never had one bad thing to say. When I went to the ER, around 2 or 3 am the first nurSe called me in and she was asking me question (and please keep in mind I could barely talk) but wasnโt allowing me to speak, they kept cutting me off. I was getting annoyed thatโs not okay, if youโre asking me question and Iโm having a hard time to speak GIVE. ME. TIME. She had face, she was annoyed, but donโt project on to me. Thatโs not fair. She put in the room and we waited for the doctor to come. This doctor did the BARE MINIMUM!!!! They were forcing me to talk when I typed everything up for them to read because I was having trouble with the FIRST NURSE (which the doctor didnโt even bother reading just laugh it off and process to say she still has to talk). The fact that you didnโt even want to try says a lot. I was in pain and explained that to you. After I TOLD HER EVERYTHING I WAS FEELING, she sent me home and told me just take Tylenol and Motrinโฆ a joke. I kept asking one of the nurse that her assistant, for information and he kept responding I donโt know, I donโt know. Not only that, he doesnโt know how to put the needle in, causing so much pain afterwards. You need to treat people with respect. In this field people donโt deserve bare minimum, people deserve to be treated with care and nurturing people especially in this type of field. It is not fair how you treat people who are in pain and you treat them like they being dramatic when theyโre in pain, could barely walk and could barely talk! I was not please with what happened and how I was treated last night. This is ridiculous. Again this never happened before! Usually I let things slide but this time I wonโt.

a year agoWorst Experience i have ever i had. My girlfriend had a stomatitis on Memorial Day. We stayed in emergency for 5 hours, Dr. Jamil Rizqalla DO did not do any blood test, told my girlfriend to take advil and stay at home. My girlfriend conditioned got worse after a day because MonteFiore Nyack Hospital Emergency department was careless to take care of patients at urgent care. I live on same street of this hospital and I will not feel comfortable to go their Emergency Room incase if i need it in the future. So sad my neighborhood hospital is poorly serving their community.
