5 months agoNo Stars! I was visiting family in Durham and attended the Jummah services. I was told to pray in the Sister's Musalla which was a supply closet that was used to store extra tables, chairs, and vacuum cleaners. I was the only sister present (another sister and her daughter arrived shortly after), I asked if I could pray in the front of the mosque with the brothers and was told no. The proper services has the women in the front, the children or chairs in the middle as a barrier, and the women in the back. The entire khutbah was spoken in Arabic with very few words in English. This experience was excluding and unpleasant. No stars!
