The atmosphere here is pretty much relaxing, great place to sit, eat and enjoy. The staff is very kind, but a little forgetful; youโd ask for something and they forget to bring it to you, but with a reminder theyโre good.
The food Iโve had so far the few times Iโve been here, are the shawarma wrap, mixed grill and the beef kofta platter.
Shawarma wrap; excellent.
Mixed grill; kofta was very dry, chicken was different. Iโve never had chicken with this flavor at any other middle eastern restaurant, unique for sure.
Beef kofta platter; meat was very dry.
Other than the dryness of the kofta, the food had flavor and I liked it.
When you come here, be prepared to wait. The food takes a long time to cook.
Oh my god this place is amazing. Order the hummus, it comes with a just-baked hot pita the size of a large pizza. We had the hazeez (lamb) and it fell off the bone and was so tender. They brought us out lamb soup compliments of the house. The staff was really friendly. Would absolutely come here again.
I gave this restaurant a shot since I am not from this town and here is my experience:
1) When I arrived to the restaurant, I noticed so many cars blocking the road in front of the restaurant which tends to be typical in Yemen, but not a representative. They should not blocking the road entirely. Very disrespectful
2) I got into the restaurant and I loved the decorations and atmosphere. They have two waiters who were quick to get my order ready. They were very respectful and helpful. Well done.
3) I ordered Yemeni Lamb Haneeth which came with side of salad, Maraq, sahawaq, rice, and the meat.
Salad, Maraq and Sahawaq were good.
Rice is ok but is messing salt and the Yemeni spice. They can do better job cooking the rice
The Haneeth was tender and came hot and fresh. However, they did not do a great job with the spice. I was eating chunck of cumen. They added so much unnecessary spice. I was disappointed.
I paid almost $30 for this meal.
Will I come here again? probably, I wanna try another dish to make a final judgment

a month agoI tried mandi and kabsa with my family and we were all disappointed. They made need an authentic Yemeni chef to prepare good quality Yemeni food.
