Old Damascus

We got the mint lemonade, hibiscus lemonade, hummus, kibbeh, lamb Mandi, chicken kabsa, cucumber mint yogurt, and falafel sandwich. Both drinks were good, but the hibiscus was a little on the syrupy sweet side. Hummus was creamy, good. Kibbeh filling was tasty, but I would prefer less dough around the edges. Both rice dishes were served with a dakhoos sauce which went really well with them. I liked both types of rices, but the Mandi rice was our favorite. Both meats were very moist and tender, but we liked the lamb more. The chicken meat needed the dakhoos sauce, but lamb meat was also good by itself too. Falafel sandwich was crunchy, with all the delicious sauces. I liked it.

Initially didn’t want to try out something new but I was pleasantly surprised but hr time we were done. We ordered the chicken Kabsa, chicken Mandi, and lamb kabsa along with a side of hummus. The hummus was nice and creamy. The chicken Mandi and Kabsa were very juicy and tender, the chicken fell off the bone. The Lamb Kabsa which was my personal favourite was a home run, the meat was soo tender and seasoned just right. The sauce that came with it was amazing in cutting through the fat of the lamb. Service and ambiance were great as well. Overall was very happy to go here to try Syrian cuisine for the first time.

Went with friends ordered lamb chicken and beef items. Food was delicious. Meat was tender and cooked well. We’ll visit again with family too.

Visiting from Oklahoma , My parents & I really enjoyed our visit & glad we stopped by . The atmosphere is very nice , clean & welcoming . The food was very delicious & the customer service is outstanding!! Don’t hesitate to stop by , you will not be disappointed.
