a year agoSo here's the deal with this middle eastern grocery store / restaurant. The food smell will make your senses and taste buds super crazy and you'd be thinking about the most scrumptious and delicious middle eastern cuisine ..... now hold your horses. The taste of their food ain't that great unfortunately. We stumbled upon this during our search of finding some thing better than the Al-Bawadi (after three times consecutive disappointments) .... as we entered the building it smelled like heavenly food. I wish if the spice level and taste was better or above than other yummy middle eastern food joints (Oak Creek, Milwaukee, Ann arbor, Detroit, Livonia, Mississauga, Ottawa, Windsor, London, Montreal, LA, San Diego, Costa Mesa, Vegas, Jersey City, Philly, DFW, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, and NYC) I know every single one of me familia are crazy about delicious, ethnic cuisines and have traveled across North America in our quest of finding hidden gems.

2 years agoWhile they have an impressive selection, the prices are comparable to Arax or even a little higher. I have been shopping at Arax since the early 2000s and it has a cozier layout and vibe and nicer employees. This store doesn't look very enticing from the outside, but it is clean and the displays are appealing. The big reason I will probably never return is that the young woman working at checkout was extremely unfriendly. I don't need to deal with a surly attitude when I shop.

6 months agoI hope they get re-certified and gain the trust of the community by not contaminating the meat with non zabiha halal meat. Looking forward to seeing how they course correct. The rest of the items are great.
