PATTTERNZ is a genuine experience where taste, tradition, and talent blend. We go the extra mile to bring to your taste an authentic Syrian food cooked with love and passion that would definitely satisfy your senses for homemade flavor.
We enjoy trying new food so we decided to try Patternz. We had a wonderful meal and the restaurant is clean and the owner is very nice. I would definitely recommend trying their food. We had the chicken shawarma and beef shawarma as well as the berak. When were in the area we will definitely visit again.
This place was exquisite. As a person of Aramaic decent, I was anticipating a different skew of flavors and spices so the taste was not my favorite but the cleanliness of the food, inside of the restaurant being kept so well, and how fresh everything was, is UNMATCHED. Husband and wife own and run it primarily, wife preps and cooks, hubby runs the front end- very friendly and nice people. Warm and welcoming upon entry. I cannot express enough how CLEAN this place is. Like the inside of the place, the food itself- SUPER CLEAN! The flavors of the rice with my palette just didnโt mesh as I was expecting a different mix of flavors! Rice seemed to have a sweet taste to it. The hummus was not quite what Iโm used to, not as pungent/authentic tasting as what I am used to! The chicken tooka was cooked to PERFECTION. Everything was cooked well for that matter. Would I go again? Probably not! But you may like it! Quality is there for SURE- just a matter of preference of taste/your unique palette.
The sign outside the restaurant tells the truth. Shawarma was amazing. We also tried mansaf and appetizers. All food we tried was very tasty and tasted like homemade food. We will go there again to try the food we havenโt tried at first time.
I've never eaten Syrian food, but damn was this food delicious! The restaurant isn't really tailored to a sit-down experience, in my opinion. It seemed like more of a takeout place with a few tables, but the environment was clean and comfortable. The man working at the counter, who I assume was the owner, was very gracious and welcoming. He seemed to anticipate everything we needed before we even asked. The food (beef shawerma sandwich and horak isbao) we had were 10 out of 10. I'm vegetarian, and all of my options were clearly labeled, which was much appreciated. Just be aware that there is a $3 service charge per person for dining in, but the cost was well worth the personal attention we received.
Whether it's delicious shawerma, authentic traditional Syrian cuisine, or the large selection of pre-made frozen middle eastern meals, Patternz serves up such a unique and appetizing experience. They offer the only truly home-cooked middle eastern menu in S.E. Michigan. Definitely a must-try!!
