in the last weekThis place is an Austin institution with generous portions and delicious food at super reasonable prices. It's also an excellent resource for all of your cooking needs if you are into Mediterranean food. It's not fancy and it doesn't need to be. I recommend the roast chicken pita wrap. I'm also a fan of the feta dip, fava beans, white bean tuna salad and the fresh pita. I could probably browse the store for hours and still be happy.

11 months agoHere is what you should know before coming here: I have been passing by this place for over ten years and finally found time today to come in and visit it. Clean restrooms towards the back next to where you can order fresh hot food to go. They close by 6 p.m. on most days Relaxing music and organized with even a fresh deli area and bakery with variety of bread items, meats, and cheeses to go. Also have frozen items to the back unique in this area you will not easily find in Austin Also noticed most items not in English so I am sure I am missing alot here in my review. :) Parking lot: For some reason this whole time I thought the parking lot was for the massage school but instead of massage schools right behind this location and has their own designated parking! Somewhat picky to turn in and out of off Burnet road depending on traffic but keep that in mind on the northbound Lane to get in and out of here.

3 months agoAmazing small care run by very kind people! The grocery selection is out of this world - every possible spice or cooking ingredient I can't find anywhere else!! And I came with my special needs class of 5 wheelchairs (I'm a teacher), and they were so gracious, welcoming, and helpful!!!!

2 months agoI know this bakery has been open a very long time and shame on me for not going in sooner. After an amazing trip to Germany I was missing โdonerโ.. basically a gyro sandwich in the states. But the few places Iโd tried were disappointing at best. Not so at Phoenicia. The wraps were served hot, flavorful and not a bit soggy. And $7.99!! I also found fresh baked pita pockets, plantain chips, fava beans, tea biscuits. lol. Went in for 1 item, came out with 2 meals and snacks. Very friendly helpful staff.
