What started as a small catering on the side between restaurant shifts has slowly grown into a premier food stop for any Detroiter. It slowly grew into a full service catering and from there the food truck was born. A part of multiple food trucks launched by Chef Omar Anani a Michigan Native who wanted to take back the streets of Detroit one sandwich at a time.

Started in his parents restaurant as a pastry chef at the age of 13, he always had a passion for food. After many years, a degree from the Art Institute of Michigan, and working fine dining including a stint at Michael Symon's Roast, Chef Omar wanted to bring fine dining quality food at a reasonable price that anyone could afford on a daily basis. And so Qais Truck was born.
