Ronnie Dabbasi has a broad corporate and commercial practice and advises clients on all aspects of acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and project development in the energy sector.
Ronnie’s client base includes private equity firms, oilfield service companies, electric and gas utilities, renewable and oil & gas project developers and sponsors, commodity trading firms, mining companies, diversified public companies, chemical and petrochemical producers, and other strategic and passive investors. He advises on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and co-development structures, energy trading arrangements, project development and financing, and related corporate and commercial matters.
Ronnie represents clients in upstream oil and gas matters, as well as midstream projects and deals involving natural gas, crude oil, and natural gas liquids gathering systems, pipelines, processing facilities and storage assets. His downstream practice includes advising on refining, marketing and distributing refined products and related structured commodity transactions and he has experience with power generation, including both traditional baseload generation and renewables.
Prior to joining Eversheds Sutherland, Ronnie advised clients on fund formation and management issues and international trade law and structured and executed M&A transactions, PE and VC investments and conventional and Islamic debt financings in the energy, healthcare, education and technology sectors in the US, the Gulf States, North Africa, South Asia, Europe and offshore jurisdictions.
