Salma is a Lebanese restaurant offering authentic cuisine. Salma is health conscious, committed to offering healthy and soulful food through quality ingredients and ethical cooking.
I love Lebanese food. So definitely had to try this place.
๐ฆ inside & outside dining available
๐ฆI had to ask one of the staff to clean my chair since there was food on it..
๐ฆ the owner was very energetic & it was nice interacting with him.
๐ฆ the tea was very good, black & mint tea. Definitely recommend
๐ฆ the lentil soup was delicious
๐ฆ the fatoush salad was refreshingโฆbut it was missing some flavor
๐ฆ the falafel platter was alright, honestly it needed more flavor and love
Everything was fresh , but a lot of the dishes lacked flavor (at least the flavor I seek being Eastern European)
๐ฆ In the end when we came out , we saw the letter C for sanitationโฆthat was a big no no for me, I just couldnโt believe I saw it in the endโฆ
Overall itโs a nice experience, I wouldโve loved to try the hummus, babagonush, and their lamb โฆbut I went for a light vegetarian style dinnerโฆ & it was alright.
A small middle eastern gem. We were looking to taste Levantine cuisine and this was just the perfect place. The felafel was tasty well spiced and not bitter. I loved the msskah, the endenmes or hummus was creamy and well airated. The warek el enab were yummy. The fatoush was refreshing. I loved the kibbeh and its crunchiness. The lamb chops were superb. The mixed grill was awesome and plenty. All the flavors were amazing and loyal to tradition. All the flavors were balance and not bitter like in many other places serving similar plates. With eggplant and garbanzo as main ingredients. The staff was very eager to guide us in ordering and were very courteous.
My husband and I had the pleasure of dining here last night and had the most wonderful experience. First off, the kitchen was closed and the owner Abu Yosef so kindly still allowed us to dine there. He did not rush us and went over the menu with attention to detail. The menu is as good as it gets and offers something for everyone. I have severe food allergies and the kitchen accommodated without hesitation or fuss. This is much appreciated as other restaurants in the city would not be able to accommodate me. These guys are experts and each plate came out with love and authenticity. Being from the Middle East and having mom's food, I usually don't come across true authentic middle eastern food. But Salma delivers! It's exactly how my mom cooks and the real deal. They pour flavors and innovative dishes out there for us to enjoy. Each dish from the fattoush to the mixed platter had a story to tell-and was a true culinary celebration of staple Lebanese dishes with a tint of modernism. Fresh ingredients, master chefs and the most perfect Owner-we feel we hit the lottery stumbling across Salma. I could eat here every week-and I hope I do. It's healthy, absolutely delish and affordable--what are you waiting for! Stop by for a bite or stay for a feast. You will leave with a happy face and tummy! Thank you Abu Yosef for sharing your kitchen and recipes with us! Lucky to have amazing restaurants to enjoy like Salma.
The bread was too thin and not fluffy enough, and the lamb could be softer, but the humus and the platter are good. I was placed on a table right next to the speaker so it was hard to hear what people were saying.
