4 months agoWe had the pleasure of dining at Shandeez Persian Restaurant, and I must say, it was an extraordinary culinary experience. This gem of a restaurant truly captures the essence of Persian cuisine, offering an array of dishes that are both flavorful and meticulously prepared. Among the highlights of my meal were the Soltani Kabob, Chicken Soltani, and Tahdig with Khoresht, each of which exceeded my expectations in every way. The Soltani Kabob, a combination of succulent beef and tender lamb, was a masterpiece. Each bite was a perfect blend of rich, savory flavors, enhanced by a subtle yet enticing mix of spices. The meat was cooked to perfectionโjuicy, tender, and grilled to a delightful char. This dish alone is worth the visit. Equally impressive was the Chicken Soltani. The chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful, marinated to perfection and grilled to achieve a beautiful, slightly smoky taste. The balance of flavors was impeccable, making every bite a true delight. However, the star of the show was undoubtedly the Tahdig with Khoresht. The crispy, golden rice crust (Tahdig) paired with a rich and aromatic stew (Khoresht) was a match made in culinary heaven. The Khoresht, bursting with depth and complexity, complemented the crispy texture of the Tahdig beautifully. It was a dish that demonstrated the artistry and skill of the chefs at Shandeez. The ambiance of Shandeez further enhanced the dining experience. The warm, inviting atmosphere, combined with attentive and friendly service, made me feel right at home. It's evident that the team at Shandeez is passionate about providing an exceptional dining experience, and their dedication shines through in every aspect of the restaurant. In conclusion, Shandeez offers a dining experience that is both memorable and satisfying. The Soltani Kabob, Chicken Soltani, and Tahdig with Khoresht are standout dishes that showcase the best of Persian cuisine. I highly recommend Shandeez to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic culinary adventure.

4 months agoWe had a very bad experience in this restaurant. The order took long time waiting. When it came, we found two hairs, one on the lemon piece of the Soltani plate and the other one on the appetizer. The waiter immediately hided the plates and did not allow me to take pictures. I was very upset from these disgusting and awful plates and asked them to cancel the whole order. I expected to hear an apology message from a manager or a waiter, but nothing happened. They have hygiene issue and bad management.

5 months agoBoth of the meat (chicken and marinated steak) were undercooked and light in flavor. Decent overall after I air fried the meat, but not worth $36 for one plate :(

What really made the dining out experience great was the wonderful service we were gifted with, our waiter Layla was really kind and patient while we figured out our order! Next time I stop by Austin Iโll definitely come back!

a year agoPlenty of seats and parking available arriving at 11 am when they opened. Customer service was great, they checked on us multiple times and made sure we well taken cared of. There are a lot of vegetarian options available here; pretty much the whole appetizer menu. The kashk o basenjan (eggplant dish) was very unique and flavorful. The protein from the Soltani were very tender and easy to chew. They do give you a lot of rice with this dish. My favorite item was the khoresht fesenjan. It was a little tangy maybe due to the pomegranates that were purรฉed with this. The Faloodeh was different but was really good. The rose water gave the ice a sorta syrupy taste and the noodles gave it texture. I want to try more from the menu.
