Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine has escalated tremendously in the last decade here in the United States, especially, in Michigan, where at present is the largest Arab community outside the Middle East.
From the shores of Turkey, along the strait of the Red sea, to the Arabian sea from the valleys of Lebanon, reaching as far as the mountains of the furthest part of the Arabian Peninsula, and from the sands of the deserts, the great smells and tastes have managed to find their place, by sea or by air to establish the essence of flavorful and healthy cuisine in our daily diets.

4 months agoThis place has the absolute best bread and hummus! The beef and chicken come out very dry for my taste so I tend to avoid those. Loved the lamb chops or the lamb pieces. Absolutely recommend! Their salad has an amazing dressing as well. The service is fast and friendly as well! It's worth a stop if you enjoy Mediterranean food! Also, 1 main dish feeds at least 2 people so keep that in mind.

2 weeks agoI've been to this restaurant multiple times. The food is delicious and fresh each time. The wait staff are very nice and pleasant to chat with. The garlic dip and fresh bread is my favorite part!

7 months agoWhy is the carry out SO inconsistent?? No onions/carrots and hardly any nuts for the rice! I keep giving try after try but this is it. Iโll go somewhere else where they can be more consistent with what customers are paying for!

11 months agoI ordered take out at the restaurant- The girl who was in charge of the cashier was so nice- Very upbeat and friendly- They were super busy with cater meals so I had about a 25 minute wait but I got it a bit earlier- The Two Guys, managing the bread and packing up the meals were so on it. They had their routine down to a tee and were hustling- I ordered the shish combo, with rice, fattoush salad, and a side of hummus- Upon appearance the food looked amazing - I love the taste of charred grilled meat, and this looked superb- The serving portions were great and appropriate for the price. My husband and I were able to share this meal. Some places give you very small chunks of chicken, beef, or thin kafta- So, they nailed it on the char grilled and appearance but our first bite was kafta and it was raw- The picture doesnโt really show just the redness and the raw taste no problem, I threw it in the air fryer and was in a couple minutes. It was fine.- I guess I would rather it undercooked, then overcooked, and it be dry and burnt -The chicken and beef were cooked to perfection, and we were worried. The beef was medium rare ( perfect) and the chicken was cooked all the way through. We were worried the chicken was going to be raw. Sadly, they both were lacking in any seasoning. I was thankful to have the garlic sauce to dip them in for some flavor but I expected maybe some salt or some type of seasoning Not horrible, but not flavorful- Iโve not been to sheesh in a long time. Weโre talking years. Their hummus used to be a creamy, and have almost a white look, and had a lemon flavor-it was thick and creamy-this hummus was creamy, almost runny, and strong on the tahini flavor- thankfully, I had some lemon on hand and was able to doctor it up. The dinner comes with salad and I requested a Fattoush- Yummy!!! again, it was big enough for my husband and I to share I love that they chop it up so nicely and you donโt get the huge leaves of lettuce or chunks of core as with some places- Bread was hot out of the oven - Soft, chewy little pillows of deliciousness

8 months agoI've been getting carry-out from here for years. The staff is always friendly and the food is always fresh. You can't beat the salad dressing some of the best in the area. The chicken shawarma salad is my goto order!
