DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. Let me start by saying I’m in the healthcare field and have never left a negative review on any platform about another healthcare worker. This was by far the worst and most upsetting experience I’ve ever had with a doctor. I was requesting an exemption from receiving a booster of the Covid vaccine. I had a reaction after the second dose and was nervous about receiving a booster. Let’s start with Dr. Abi-Younes never even introducing herself to me or making eye contact when she walked in the room. She walked in with a “hurried” manner wearing a pair of gloves she already had on before she entered the room. Most healthcare “professionals” know better than that and I use the term “professional” very loosely. I have no idea if she even changed gloves in between me and the patient she saw before me. I firmly believe I was treated so poorly because the reason I was there didn’t “align” with her beliefs. She stated she was “checking the CDC guidelines” before she came in the room. I wasn’t sure why she was doing that before she even met with me and had a chance to discuss why I was there. I was hoping to get answers about the reaction I had and how to safely receive a booster. She told me “you need to take precautions and be monitored”. I asked which precautions and if she could administer the booster to me and monitor me. Her response was “I’m an allergist, you need to talk to your PCP, who is your PCP? Talk to them.” I explained that my PCP, Dr. Christopher Perkins, had referred me to her because his office no longer signs exemption forms and he also said he wouldn’t administer the booster and monitor me. She then told me to “go to a tertiary facility where they can monitor you.” Mind you, when I had the reaction back in 2021 after the second dose of the Pfizer vaccine I called my PCP to make them aware and they never asked to see me and never advised me at that time to see an allergist. This only became an issue when I inquired about an exemption or at best a deferment from the booster until I could find out more about my reaction. I tried to explain my concerns to Dr. Abi-Younes and she accused me of “arguing” and being “political”. At one point Dr. Abi-Younes was yelling at me because I had questions that she didn’t seem to know how to answer so she defaulted to becoming defensive and angry with me. I actually had to ask “why are you raising your voice at me?” So many things were wrong about this experience I can’t even list them all. At one point I had to ask her to please close the door that she had stood up and opened as we were still discussing my personal business. She was ready to walk out of the room while I was still asking questions as to how to proceed with the issue I had. The only thing she did right was tell me that she wasn’t charging me for the visit. I’m glad she suggested it because I was so upset at that point I never even would have thought to ask for a refund for my co-payment. Before she ran off down the hall I told her I would be leaving a review about my experience, no surprise she couldn’t have cared less. The one positive experience at this office was the lovely receptionist. From beginning to end she was personable and professional. It’s unfortunate she has to work for this individual.

My wife called and explained her symptoms and that she was looking to see if she could get tested for food allergies. The receptionist said absolutely and made the appointment. However after she arrived she was told at the office that they could offer no testing and no real help. Then why did your office make this appointment? Absolute waste of time, money, effort.
