The Wilmer Eye Institute is a leader in the delivery of state-of-the-art eye care. Our experts, including top-ranked ophthalmologists and optometrists, are available at nine convenient locations across Maryland.
I had to go here for a worker's comp issue about a year ago. The doctor I saw was decent, but the scheduling practices here are horrible. They overbook and I wasn't seen on time for any of my appointments. When my treatment was complete, I was told no further appointments were necessary and I scheduled none. Last week I received a notice indicating an upcoming appointment next week. This appointment was scheduled without my authorization or knowledge. In fact, I'm no longer even living in Maryland. I had to call and cancel this unwanted appointment.
I've had a great experience with Wilmer eye institute, just don't like when your appointments are so off they want to give appointments with someone else when you've being seeing the same one that knows your eyes otherwise I rank them a 4.5
This place is a bloated buracracy. My lab work orders and prescriptions and frequently not called in. It takes days (if you are lucky ) for them to call you back. I put up with this for 8 years thinking that at least the doctors were good. Even that is debatable.
Dr. Wang sees my son for nystagmus, foveal hypoplasia, and esotropia. This is a new journey for us but so far I must say Dr. Wang in pediatric opthalmology has made himself very accessible. I also find him to have very good bedside manners and be compassionate. I highly recommend him/the office if you're in need of great pediatrics opthalmology care and also for the more rare conditions. I trust him with my now 7 month old first and only baby.
Ydalla G and Cyreld M are extremely rude women. Yelled at my almost 70 year old mother. Showed no respect. Accused me of being threatened via my demeanor despite me being polite and answering their
questions. It incredibly unprofessional that people with this mindset are allowed to work at Johns Hopkins. Absolutely no humility, that kind treatment has a way of coming back on the violatorโฆ
