a month agoWorst ER in the history of ERs. Wait time of over 2 hours for excruciating pain. Wanted to walk out a million times but had already made the copay in the first 10 mins of checking in. How is such a big and famous university systemโs ER so broken? I informed the nurses of pain multiple times and was met with nonchalant attitudes every single time. Being a physician myself I was shocked to see this level of system-level incompetence. Please stay away at all costs and seek care elsewhere.

3 months agoBest emergency care I have ever received! Makes the best look bad. โShattered pelvis, broken ankles, multi surgery and multi visitsโ. I have seen a lot of emergency care in my life, Annapolis having some of the best healthcare. I would say the nurses, secretaries and Drs, there are exceptional! I owe my life to this hospital. But truly one of the worst experiences in my life got one of the best medical team and treatment I could experience. โThank youโ!

4 months agoThis review is for the ER aka homeless shelter. Was referred to the ER by my primary. Ended up Waiting 13 hours after blood draw but was never seen nor updated. The focus was on registering as many people as possible who can be billed. From there, you're forgotten. I understand it depends on triage, but communicate/update. They treat patients like trash during intake because of the environment. waited in a room for blood draw over an hour never acknowledged and staff were unprofessional. Nurse left needles unattended on the table. The waiting room was full of homeless people, some who werent even checked in and just looking for a place to be. There were people smoking, using drugs in the bathroom, and constantly requiring police intervention for altercations. They kept calling the same names for hours, after those people already left. No movement at all and extremely inefficient. People leave due to the long waits and dont get treatment.

5 months agoNot going to go into much detail, as it seems like everyone has had the same experience, but this "hospital" is nothing more than a sick joke. Didn't get fully registered or seen until 7 hours in. One old lady there who had had a stroke was waiting on 12 hours. Man with a open sore on his forearm was getting treated like trash by the staff. I could go on and on. As someone who works in the medical field in another state, the people of Baltimore deserve an actual emergency room with actual staff and not imbeciles pretending to be medical professionals who openly mock and ignore the patients they're sworn to treat.

4 months agoIโd give it 0 stars if that was an option. My mom went here after complications with a surgery that had been done a few weeks ago. After waiting in the ER for 8 hours, despite her surgeon calling ahead before she arrived to tell them to move her to the front of the triage line given the severity of the complications, she finally got a room. They just didnโt seem to care at all. Donโt waste your time here.
