Thirteen of Warren Consolidated’s twenty-three schools have been awarded the Michigan Blue Ribbon Exemplary School Award.  Two are national blue ribbon schools.   A blue ribbon school is one that has achieved a high level of all-around excellence.  A blue ribbon school district is one which is committed to giving students a high quality curriculum, extensive educational opportunities, and the best pathway to success in college or the workplace.

Our Blue Ribbon Award winning schools are: Cromie Elementary, Green Acres Elementary, Harwood Elementary, Jefferson Elementary, Pearl Lean Elementary, Siersma Elementary, Wilde Elementary, Wilkerson Elementary, Beer Middle School, Carter Middle School, Grissom Middle School, Cousino High School and Warren Mott High School. Green Acres and Cousino also went on to win National Blue Ribbon School recognition.

All Warren Consolidated Schools are accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and by the State of Michigan.  Both organizations have high accreditation standards.

 

ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS

Twelve traditional calendar schools.
Single-teacher grade-level classrooms, computer lab, art room, music room, gym, café’

Curriculum: reading, writing, math, science, social studies, art, music, STEM, physical education, health, and computer technology

Grade K-2: emphasis on fundamental language skills with development in math, science, social studies, art, music, physical education

Grades 3-5: continued emphasis on language skills related to math, science and social studies.

Four traditional calendar schools plus magnet programs for middle school math, science and technology and middle school visual and performing arts – grades 6-8 in a six-period day – students change classrooms for academics, electives and magnet programs.

Curriculum: academic core – language arts/communications/reading, social studies, science, mathematics;other courses – phys. ed., health, engineering, STEM, Spanish, 21st Century Technology

Athletics: intramural program for all grades; boys and girls basketball, boys football, girls volleyball, boys and girls track

Activities: Student Council, Ecology Club, extravaganza events
