Yasmina Saade, M.D., completed her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and her General Psychiatry residency at Washington University in St. Louis (Barnes-Jewish Hospital). Dr. Saade is a graduate of the American University of Beirut Faculty of Medicine in Beirut, Lebanon. Prior to her psychiatry training, she was part of the clinical research group at the Institute of Memory and Alzheimerโs Disease at La Pitiรฉ Salpรชtriรจre University Hospital in Paris, France. During her residency training, she was part of the Psychiatry Residency Research Education Program, and of the Healthy Mind Lab. Dr. Saade also participated in a Combined Child and Adolescent Psychoanalytic Fellowship Program and Candidate Seminar at the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis.
She joined Childrenโs National Hospital in September 2021. Currently, she is part of the Psychiatry team at Takoma Theatre, the Anxiety Disorders Program and the Whole Bear Care Collaborative Care Clinics. Her clinical interests are transitional age youth as well as affective disorders. Her research focus and interests are anxiety and mood disorders, as well as prescription trends amongst general practitioners and psychiatrists.
She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association, the Washington Psychiatric Society and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
