Why Empire Shawarma?
Empire Shawarma is is not simply a regular restaurant. It is the Empire of foods that will bring you and your friends to enjoy eating from the Empire Shawarma. Eating from our restaurant is the prosperity of living. Enjoy your time and try different meals.
The delicious Middle Eastern dishes are made by a group of proffesinal arab cheifs.
The set of three homemade entrรฉes (hummus, labne and mutabal) is served with homemade pita bread and is perfect to start dinner with. His musaka is also worth a try: it is served on a sizzling iron plate and topped with a generous amount of savory tomato sauce. Make sure to visit the restaurant when you have the time, as the menu is quite extensive and filled with dishes too charming to pass.

a week agoMy only regret was not seeing the entire menu before ordering off of the wall menu. The Shish Tawook was excellent with moist flavorful chicken chunks and great sauces. The rice was fluffy and tasty on its own. The full menu has more traditional Yemeni fare like fava beans cooked with eggs.

3 months agoThe food was really tasty! What I wanted, I couldnโt find online but I was able to get at the restaurant. The food is fresh and really good quality and I liked that the rice is made with chicken so, I got pieces of chicken in my rice as part of my meal.

2 months agoOh man! I wandered in to try something new in an effort to make the best of the subway skipping the entire length of central park west over the weekend. Reviews said fahsa was good it looked like, so in order to not butcher pronunciation or ordering I just admitted right up front I had no idea what I was doing but "let's get this" as I pointed to a review. Super friendly guy at the counter was unphased by my ignorance and overall seemed happy to introduce me to yemini food. I was fairly surprised when it came out, but hey that's the fun of having no idea what you're getting haha. It comes with a HUGE piece of flatbread that even by itself was fantastic and unlike any other I've had, but man oh man.. the fahsa itself! All I can say is get it!! This was one of my favorite random food finds for sure, and I'll absolutely be back to introduce my wife to it and try some more dishes as well. Super good food, super friendly staff, good amount of seating, very comfy place - highly recommend!

2 months agoDelicious, authentic food and kind, welcoming service. The staff were very helpful explaining the dishes and giving their recommendations. For 3 people, we shared Fool, Fahsah, Beef Kafka, and fish soup as the main. It came with 2 massive Yemenite bread that was fresh and warm, straight from the oven. For dessert we shared baklava and kanafa Highly recommend!

3 months agoLoved the food! It was delicious. We ordered a Salta (sizzling and spiced lentil soup in a clay pot) which comes along with a traditional bread, chicken Shawarma on a bed of flavourful rice and ended with a baklava. The food tasted spectacular, highly recommend all these dishes, but the Salta stood out for us!
