5 months agoWow! As someone has extensively traveled India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, I hold my Asian and Mediterranean foods to a very high standard, and this restaurant really blew me away! We ordered the chaat, chicken 66, and the shawarma wrap. Everything was so delicious and the flavors were very close to authentic! I would come here again in a heartbeat. Canโt wait to try the rest of the menu.

2 months agoReally enjoyed dinner at Zait and Zaโatar. We ordered msakhan chicken plate and the chef adjusted the spice level for us. Chicken was tender and perfectly seasoned. The rice was fluffy and non-oily. The spicy mayo was game changer. The staff is very friendly. They have new tiffin box service with $8 per meal. It was a pleasant surprise to see a lot of Indian snacks and dishes on the menu. Perfect for Desi chai and samosa. Imli chutney was out of the world! Definitely planning to revisit to try other food on menu.

5 months agoI ordered the chicken shawarma sandwich with fries and passionfruit lemonade, and the service and meal were both phenomenal! This was my first time eating here (and my first time eating shawarma), but Iโll definitely come back!

8 months agoCharming, and with a variety of tasty menu items that span Mediterranean, South Asian and American cuisine, Zait & Zaโatar provided a wonderful stop for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The shawarma and gyro on the house salad were crispy. Plus, they had great tea and baklava. The atmosphere was unique, welcoming, and comfortable. I hope to be back!

7 months agoA bit underwhelming. Service was unbeliveably slow. Took them 20 minutes just to take our order and mine in particular took another 30 to arrive. They also brought out the food at different times so my friends had already finished eating and there I was scarfing down my meal at the end. Dinner portions were quite substantial, but dessert portions were miniscule. Everything tasted good though. They even had Egyptian street food like kushari and za'atar fries. The menu was a little confusing. Seemed to have both north Indian and middle eastern dishes (although no fusion items). There is a reservation option on Google maps but you really don't need one. Deserted when we went. Ambiance wasn't the greatest.
