This is where it all begins for us. The Bible is simple and very clear that our purpose is to love God and love people. We want to be a church that pleases our God. We will do that with the knowledge of the Bible that shows us the importance of His people making God not just an idea, but a priority. This passion to pursue God will be seen in everything that we do.
History Established in 1978.
Previously known as Zion Fellowship, then East Bay Fellowship and now the Rock, we were established in Danville in 1978.

4 months agoWhat is REALLY going on at this church? It’s extremely odd. Something is not right. They claim they’re being attacked spiritually but maybe it’s God’s judgement! 🔥. They are NOT preaching the full counsel but a comfortable motivational message with an impotent rebuke/warning about things like sin and hell. Absolutely no TRUE fear of God. Unholy music which feeds the flesh with emotionalism and hypnotic beats. Skinny jeans!?!?!? Come on…show some respect and modesty . The stage looks like the world. This isn’t what God ordained. Pastors living in $2 million houses…yes we know this is Danville. Needing a sabbatical because the job is too stressful? . Golfing in Hawaii? Cruises? Who is paying for this? Hundreds of thousands $$$ for bathroom remodeling? Christians in other countries meet outside with no AC or indoor plumbing. This is lukewarm nonsense. Certainly this mess calling itself a church has been harshly rebuked. The Rock Church is a social club and networking group for Danville snobs who want to ease their guilty conscience for facilitating shady real estate deals and stock broker theft during the week 👿. It’s another opportunity to showcase their fancy cars and clothes before meeting for champagne brunch in downtown. Judgement begins in the house of GOD 🔥🔥

a year agoThis review is in response to Randall's below. My condolences for the loss of your sister. I know it's painful. I cannot speak for change of hands prior to the last 10 years before Pastor Rick came in - but what I know as an attendee is there are licensed counselors on the prayer team all the way up to PhD level of theology in the pastoral staff. Walking in is coming home because the presence of God is so heavy and palpable. In this environment you can't stop miracles. Yes, we believe in them—but also in diagnostic testing and the gift of science and medicine. There's a well-respected doctor from Blackhawk on the church council. I also suffered 2 tragic deaths in my immediately family [not attendees], and almost a third in the last 2 years. The staff heard about it and reached out to me. I received more wisdom, guidance, support and encouragement than I could possibly imagine. As for the message: Pastor Rick (lead pastor) teaches right from the Bible without the influence of culture and politics. He is humble and authentic - close to the heart, passion, and character of God. I have hope and joy despite great loss, and have reconnected with my purpose. This church is more than worth checking out ... but know it just might change your life!

3 years agoI have been attending The Rock since 2018. I can say without a shadow of a doubt that anyone who is needing to hear truth SHOULD definitely come try out this church. The presence of the Lord is there. The pastor is so humble and kind, the worship is incredible and the staff is so friendly and welcoming. They have places for all ages. I am also attending their Young Adults ministry and that as well has been so life giving. I am so thankful to have found this amazing church!

2 years agoI am so happy a church like this exists in the area. The pastor is amazing and always speaks truth. The associate pastors are also wonderful as well as the staff. The worship music is incredible and I can tell the holy spirit is here. Very blessed to call this my church home.
