Dr. Helmy graduated from the David Geffen School of Medicine At Ucla in 1980. He works in Inglewood, CA and specializes in Cardiovascular Disease and Internal Medicine. Dr. Helmy is affiliated with Centinela Hospital Medical Center, Marina Del Rey Hospital and Providence Little Company Of Mary Medical Center Torrance.
Dr Helmy is very helpful very thorough explains everything and helps you have a piece of mind and takes away your anxiety. I highly recommend Dr Helmy. The staff is amazing. Very friendly and professional. They have been very accommodating.
They are the worst. They overbook so if your appointment is at 3pm, you sit there until 6:30pm waiting to be called. When they say they will schedule you for a procedure, they forget all about you and never call to follow up with an appointment for the procedure. They tried to prescribe a non covered medicine and it was denied. They didn't follow up with any replacement medicine. If you call, it goes to voicemail 90% of the time. I recommend finding another doctor.
Stay away from this office in 1 year of being a patient I never even met doctor helmy I only was seen by students who are putting in hours but I ended up leaving because they kept mixing up my blood work with other patients tried to prescribe meds I didn't need, tried to send me to take a med as if I was a lab rat and run test I had already done just to claim insurance money thank god for my primary doctor who showed me the red flags and got me out stay away people lord knows who else they giving meds they don't need
Excessive wait time. I had my appointment since 11:30AM the current time is 1:40PM, and it is likely that I’ll need to wait longer. The only suggestion by front desk is if i want to “reschedule”. What use was waiting all this time and having to reschedule when they’ll have the same issue for my next appointment.
