The Islamic Center of Mill Valley is a space for collective, congregational worship for Muslims. The masjid opened in 1989 as a modest masjid in Mill Valley and quickly took onto its role to integrate the Muslim community.
Besides functioning as a masjid for Friday and daily prayers, the Mill Valley Masjid is currently providing quality programs in youth education. The Mill Valley Masjid hosts regular Islamic Sunday School for boys and girls, and tajweed, fiqh, and history learning initiatives for men and women. The Mill Valley Masjid is also well respected by the neighboring non-Muslim institutions due to its collaboration in social services and interfaith activities.

8 months agoWent for jumuah. Firstly, the women’s section smelled like feet. It was hard to breathe. There was no TV or visibility to the imam either. The khateeb seemed to be reading from an Arabic law book. He mumbled and spoke quickly the entire time. Even as an Arabic speaker, I wasn’t able to understand anything. Doesn’t make sense for an entire khutbah to be in Arabic and nothing translated at all. Prayer’s recitation was the same way, jumbled and quick. I would recommend going to Lighthouse Masjid instead.
