Since Abu Omar Halal's humble beginnings as Houston's first and only halal food truck, we have proudly grown our brand into a fleet of food trucks and restaurants located across the great state of Texas, Florida, and Oklahoma. Abu Omar Halal serves a variety of halal street food and sandwiches, but we are best known for our signature chicken shawarma. Stop by a location nearest you to try the shawarma that started it all!

6 months agoWe went here late at night and appreciated that they were open late. The chef inside was very friendly and kind, which made a nice atmosphere. As for the food, it was good but was not exceptional. The shawarmas were tasty. The fries, however, were nothing exceptional or even good. Both the taste and the texture were odd. It also did not help that they got very hard to chew very fast, almost like a wooden stick. Overall, we appreciated the food, which was good.

8 months agoFirst time here. We ordered chicken double plate. The taste was authentic, the garlic paste is well blended and great taste. I highly recommend this place. The fries are not oily at all. Definitely coming back again with all the family.

2 weeks agoFood is very good. Atmosphere is nice. They charge for sauce , and are on the pricey side for shawarma. Itโs sad spending $20 on something youโd spend $5 on back home but I guess thatโs our country.

a year agoEDIT* where did this quality drop off? Ordered salad bowl with chicken and no cucumber.. got this mixed mess with no jalapeno or tomato. OMG it was good. I want to try everything on the menu. Simple yet bursting with taste Somehow found first day open, no doubt this restaurant is here to stay
