Al Amanah market is by far the best Mediterranean / Middle Eastern market in the Richmond area! The store is always neat and organized, the owner is a very nice person and is always willing to help you find the best quality of what you need. They have a huge assortment of all the traditional Middle Eastern products. We’ve shopped there for years and have always been satisfied!

great shop, that is super authentic to the shops we have back home. the employees are friendly and are willing to help you find what you need. would definitely recommend this place, as it is the most authentic Arabic shop in the area. me and my father have been coming to the shop for years and have never had a problem with the food or customer service. its sad to see the bad reviews on this shop, because most of them are clearly spam, and untrue. I honestly highly recommend this place for any specialty food or butcher needs.

During my visit to that region I stopped here looking for some authentic food due to come from deployment and after trying this place I will not recommend it and I actually felt ashamed of taking my friends there, the service was bad the lady at the front she tried so hard to sell us some stuff that we did not need!!!! Also the restaurant that belong to that location is actually behind The shelves and we had to wait 10 minutes for the cook to arrive and we order some Shawarma‘s rice and beef and the rice was old the beef was yucky and the Shawarma‘s were cold and reheated so with my personal and a qualified humble opinion please don’t go there for food, buy your dry ingredients and leave.

This place sells alot of Middle Eastern products. In my experience all the employees have been very nice and kind to me and also helpful to help find specific products. Prices for products are reasonable even some are cheaper than other stores. I have bought meat from the butcher shop and it was very good quality. I always go once in a while whether to buy Tahini for Hummus or even as something simple as dates or even just a Barbican.

While my in store purchase seemed wonderful, Im furious that this Bulghar I bought is full of maggots and worms. Here it is just bought on 12/5/21 and this is how I am having to pick and pull clumps from before I use it. This is disgusting and I am so disappointed that I've wasted my time and money going here. Especially since I live 3 hours away.
