Al-Hikmah Bookstore is a privately owned business whose objective is to unite the Arab & Muslim Communities with their culture back home through providing them with the biggest selection of publications in the US. Our bookstore is one of the largest and richest in specialties. This includes: wide range of copies of the Glorious Koran, cultural books, Arabic as a language educational materials, dictionaries, children books, literature (Pre-Islamic, Umayyad, Abbasid, Ottoman and modern eras), history, geography, philosophy, maps, calligraphy & Islamic Designs, political, medical, science, & a large selection of posters, greeting cards for all occasions, DVDs, CDs and cassette tapes for old and modern singers and artists. We also have a video-rental department with a wide selection of movies and plays, and tape conversion to the US System. Another dept is for beautiful Middle Eastern gifts and hand-made artifacts.

3 months agoVisited today with my friend to get keffiyehs and the store was so lovely. So many books in both Arabic and English. I was so happy to see the wide variety of Palestine-related items too. The owner was so kind-hearted and sweet. He was also so kind to give us both pens as a gift. Genuinely almost cried because it was such a lovely experience. I hope to get to visit again soon even though I'm a bit farther away. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience that I won't forget.

a month agoI should have done this a few weeks ago. This bookstore is such a wonderful resource.The owner of the store was a really nice gentleman that took a moment to help me find what I was looking for. I was visiting from out of town and I wanted to find a good Islamic bookstore. I live on the west coast and so far I have not found anywhere like this. It is a treasure trove. I found so much but I had to keep it light as I was traveling back home the next day. If you ever find yourself in this area you have to check it out. .

a year agoWeโre so grateful to finally have the time to visit Al Hikma Bookstore. The owners were the sweetest, and they helped and guided me to find the book i was looking for. This store has been around since 1993 and now has over 55,000 book titles, from history, fiction, non-fiction, children books in both English, Arabic and also other languages. Thank you!

4 months agoThis store is a fantastic gem! I went there for the first time and was struck by the fact of how intimate and friendly the bookstore was. I met the owner, Mr. Dhiya Al-Saadawi, who is an incredible and kind person and he gave me a tour of the store and answered all of my questions. I purchased several books and I plan on returning to purchase more. I have been to a lot of bookstores in my life, all over the world, and this is one of if not the best. I highly recommend this bookstore.

a year agoI am really in love with this store!...you can find the best experience ever dealing with the owner the real Arabian hospitality with his accent ful of Arabic Iraqi, when you first visit the place he greetings you and asking if this is your first visit if so he asks to take you for a tour in his book store ! He starts telling you about who he is why opend this book store as well as when then some Islamic talks ร nd some history about civilization of humanity after a while of speaking he takes you that round to discover the place with sections ful of Arabic,Arabic-English novels ,philosophy,politics,learning Arabic language...etc I recommend this place so much โค
