5 years agoThis is a true hidden gem for classical Arabic immersion for children. It is the only school of its kind in the entire USA for Arabic immersion! Ms. Ohood is one of the most experienced and sensitive teachers I have met. Her method of teaching one of the world's most complicated grammatical languages, Arabic, to children is phenomenal. She teaches entirely through play and meets the child where they are. She takes advantage of their natural playing skills to teach Arabic. I have seen non-native children within 2-3 years become fully expressive in classical Arabic with proper grammar while never having been taught one grammar rule formally. Her results speak for themselves: children who truly love her and in the process gained a valuable skill for their brain development and life.

4 years agoAs a non-native speaker trying to teach her daughter Classical Arabic, this place is a God send, alhamdulillah! We've been attending the Mommy & Me for over a year now and my daughter (3yrs) loves it! It's rare to find environments where only fus-hah is spoken without a lot of dialect or English mixed in. This focus makes it so much easier for the kids, especially those who aren't hearing Arabic at home, to learn. And honestly, as the parent, I'm learning so much too. The classes are small so children get to build connections with each other and the teachers. The teachers also creative about how to get the children learning and speaking in Arabic. There are games, songs, books, crafts... all kinds of activities to keep their interest. I feel like the teachers are really passionate about teaching Arabic and really care for the children. It's a really lovely environment. I can't recommend enough for those who are prioritising Arabic for their kids.

7 years agoMrs. Ohood is a very patient person. My kids learned so much with her. The location is not the greatest because the bathroom is outside.
