8 months agoUpdated review 2/5 stars: I got the chicken sandwich again but it was very dry and not seasoned at all on the inside. Even drenching it in the sauce still had me chewing for a while. I'm unsure if it was a different person cooking but after this experience I wouldn't come back. We ended up spending once again $65 ish dollars giving them business once more. We didn't receive the kibbee we ordered instead they replaced it without telling us and this samosa was very hard on the teeth. It just felt like the food was out for a while , element's of old meat maybe reheated. Wouldn't go out of my way again to get food though. First review March 1 - 4/5 stars: Beef samosa- although the picture is underwhelming the flavor was actually well seasoned and I enjoyed this enough to want others to try it. Would recommend and get again. Kibbee - good flavor. would get again. NY chicken - good flavor not the best I've ever had but good. Satisfied my craving. Would get again. Chicken sandwich with French fries - my favorite part of the meal. A wow sandwich. It's definitely a spice too it but overall such a great flavor all around. Would get again but it's $13 Parking was available in lot. Overall would come back.

4 months agoAs a fan of Mediterranean food, I always seek out Mediterranean restaurants wherever I go. Being from New York, I had high expectations when I visited AL SHAM Restaurant in Philadelphia on 06/24/2024 during a day trip. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. I ordered the Mixed Grill, priced at $64.99 plus tax, which is advertised as being suitable for 3-4 people. While the serving portion was generous, the quality of the meat left much to be desired. The meats were extremely dry and tasted as if they had been prepared earlier and simply reheated before serving. None of us enjoyed the dry and non-tender meats, which is not what one would expect from a reputable Mediterranean restaurant. This experience left us feeling like we had wasted our money and time. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant if you are looking for tender meats and flavorful kebabs. It would be wise to check the quality before you order. Although the employees were kind and provided good service, the quality of the food overshadowed our dining experience. When asked about the food, I didn't share my negative experience, but it's important for potential customers to know. AL SHAM Restaurant needs to ensure they serve fresh and tender grilled kebabs to meet the expectations of Mediterranean cuisine lovers.
