Located on Main Street in Newark, Delaware, near the University of Delaware, Ali Baba is known for authenically prepared Lebanese and Moroccan food. The detailed decor, including beautiful Moroccan tapestries on the walls, gives patrons an authentic experience. Guests can choose sofa-style seating in the back room or traditional seating in the front of Ali Baba restaurant. It’s a fun, laid-back college atmosphere with belly dancers performances on special occasions.

a month agoThis place has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Delaware, USA. The food is absolutely amazing, crafted by a talented chef. The service is exceptional, especially from Basharโmake sure to ask for him! His knowledge and friendliness will truly enhance your experience. The atmosphere is fantastic, making you feel like you're in the heart of the Middle East with its beautiful decorations. The narghile (hookah) was outstanding, especially since it was my first time experiencing it with real fruit. Highly recommended!

2 months agoWe came here for dinner and had an excellent meal! Weโve been coming here for years, but we havenโt been in a while and decided to come back for a meal. We ordered the fattoush salad, hummus, and baba ghanoush for starters, and then we ordered the chicken kebab, Moroccan chicken, and lamb tajeen as mains. Everything was delicious, and the service was great. Weโll definitely come back more frequently in the future!

3 months agoHad an amazing time here. My wife and I wanted to have a night out on the town and boy did this deliver. For our mains I got the lamb tajeen and she got the vegetarian platter. All of the food was outstanding and exceeded expectations. The hookah was also nice and enjoyable they even came around and topped off your coals. I would certainly return and invite anyone looking for good Mediterranean/ Moroccan food to come especially if you want hookah

a month agoBeautiful restaurant with amazing food! I had the Lamb Skewers which were a bit meatier than I'd expected, but excellently seasoned! The rice was uniquely good, not just plain white rice or with cumin/turmeric, it had almost a garlicky taste to it. Perhaps some of the garlic sauce they'd provided spilled on to it, but this sauce was the best thing I'd ever tasted! Also tried their mango nectar, which was a bit thicker than I thought, but mix it up with some ice and it became absolutely refreshing! Will definitely come here again to try other dishes!

11 months agoWe really enjoy this place and it's food! I got a really yummy vegetable/vegetarian platter! There are plenty of things for vegans as well. The falafels are crispy and good. The carrot salad is nice and garlicky. We also tried the spinach pie over the spanakopita which has feta cheese in it. Looks like the front porch area is reserve for the hookah bar part. We sat in the cozy back!
