a month agoWe stopped and had lunch here. The food and customer service was amazing. We had the cheese pizza and chicken kabob sandwich with fries. It was all delicious. We got a bunch of desserts from the bakery to try at home. We will definitely be back!

a year agoStepping into Altadena Express Bakery is like finding a hidden treasure tucked in the bustling streets of Burbank. The aroma of fresh bread in the air is enough to mesmerize any passersby, luring them into the heart of this unassuming bakery. The warm and inviting atmosphere is complemented by the genuinely friendly staff. Their product knowledge is admirable, and they always ensure that customers get exactly what theyโre looking for, whether it's your first visit or your hundredth. Altadena Express Bakery stands out for its selection of traditionally baked bread. Their lavash is impressively thin and delicate, subtly flavored, and makes a perfect companion for any meal. The matnakash is exceptional, with its golden exterior and soft, pillowy interior that brings a sense of comfort with every bite. Their range of pastries is just as delightful. The gata, a sweet, buttery delight, is a treat that should not be missed. It's just the right amount of sweet, perfect for those mid-afternoon cravings. On the other hand, the perok offers a savory counterpoint, with its unique, rich flavors sure to intrigue. While the focus is on the baked goods, the coffee deserves a special mention as well. It's clear that as much attention is given to the brew as to the bake. Whether you're looking for a bold kick of caffeine or a gentle, flavorful sip, the coffee is consistently excellent. What's more, the bakery's clean and organized setup speaks volumes about their commitment to providing a safe and comfortable experience for every customer. Finding Altadena Express Bakery has been a joy, and it's quickly become a favorite go-to spot. It's more than a bakery, it's a welcoming community where the love for good bread and pastries is palpable in every corner. Whether you're a local or just passing through Burbank, do yourself a favor and stop by - your taste buds will thank you.

2 years agoAlta Dena Express Bakery is an Armenian Bakery and Cafรฉ that serves cakes, desserts, sandwiches, salads and pizzas. I came here with my niece because she was in the mood for some desserts and wanted to bring some home for her brother and sister. I wished we hadnโt eaten breakfast prior because I wouldโve loved to try their sandwiches and pizzas. Iโm not entirely sure if they still sell sandos because the prices are crossed off the menu list. I will come back not just for the delicious sweets and spinach Borek but, for the pizza, salads and sandwiches. Updateโฆ They seem to use Postmates for orders and according to them they still sell sandos!

2 years agoThis totally took me by surprise. I thought this was just a corner bakery, and then with a small pizza shop next door. It turns out that both bakery and pizzeria are under one roof. I enjoyed eating a fabulous fire-baked pizza and concluded that only a bakery could come up with dough like this. I didn't get to indulge in any of the goodies at the bakery, but the next time I come here, I will be sure to save room for dessert. This made for a truly scrumptious lunch, and I will be back. By the way, they were exceptionally friendly here. [And to think that long ago, this used to be a drive-through place to buy milk, and in fact I remember my mom buying milk here before].
