I enjoy working directly with clients and truly enjoy helping people try to reach their goals of living and working in the United States.
Practicing business immigration law enables me to use my strengths to help people. I especially enjoy talking with people to learn about what they do and write compelling narratives that show why they are extraordinary or exceptional in their field and why their application or petition should be approved.
I know first hand how difficult the immigrant experience can be. My family and I are originally from Iraq and we immigrated to the United States when I was 12 years old. My parents wanted to move to a country where we could be safe and where my siblings and I could get a good education. Moving to the U.S. was difficult since we did not have family or friends to help us with the immigration process.
My family’s immigration experience prompted me to become a lawyer. I wanted to help others navigate the U.S. immigration system.
Joining the Alcorn Immigration Law team afforded me the opportunity to do what I love while working remotely from Houston. Alcorn’s mission to provide our service with compassion and kindness is especially important to me.
When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my family. And when I have time, I enjoy painting. Most of my paintings, which consist primarily of Arabic calligraphy, are acrylic on canvas. Most recently, I have started painting on glass.
