5 months agoGraciela Yepes is the most unethical and unprofessional real estate agent Iโve ever had the displeasure of doing a deal with. Weโll start with the inspection of my home which she was over an hour late for. Upon arrival she immediately started discussing a few things with my agent regarding some HOA docs the buyers needed - all fine. Things started to get strange once the inspection ended and my agent left. I expected Graciela to also leave too since the inspection had ended but instead her client and her clients mother showed up, the 3 of them stayed in my home far passed the inspection, looked around my entire home (including in my bedroom closet and nightstands) and took measurements for the next hour. Before she left Graciela approached me without the presence of my agent and again was hounding me about needing the HOA docs. I said, โdidnโt my agent just say he would get them to you?โ. She retorted that she needed them now. Mind you, we had been under contract on the home for less than 4 days. Now to the closing - during negotiations Graciela asked my agent for the portable sauna in our garage. My agent told her that we were keeping our sauna and negotiations continued. We accepted an offer on our home from Gracielas clients and were so excited! The day before closing we noticed that Graciela snuck into the middle of the contract that they would be taking the sauna. I thought that this had to be a mistake since our agent explicitly told her no; but also because during the inspection, the inspector asked me (right in front of Graciela) if we were selling the sauna and if he needed to inspect it. I told him we were keeping the Sauna and he didnโt need to touch it. Graciela stayed silent. Not only did her intentional omission of this information contribute to more last minute issues with the sale of our home, but she also did a massive disservice to her clients, who were under contract to purchase an 8 year old used sauna that they didnโt even have the opportunity to have inspected. Clearly she hoped to mislead me, knew that we had no idea this sale was in the contract, and hoped I wouldnโt find out until it was too late. Should our agent have noticed this oversight in the contract? Yes. Was my agent shocked to find out that this was in the contract since we explicitly told her โno saunaโ numerous times during negotiations? Yes. Did Graciela include this in a part of the contract where you donโt typically put anything about equipment or additional things sold with the home and leave the part where you do typically put that information blank? Yes. She buried in the contract instead of putting it in the standard place in hopes we would completely miss it. BUYER BEWARE. Clearly this is how Graciela and ONE Southerbys do business. Make sure if you do a deal with Graciela that youโre willing to pay for a real estate attorney to go over the contract tooth and nail in addition to your agent. Because sadly, she will do everything in her power to legally mislead you and your agent. Her behavior with the contract was shockingly underhanded, but itโs important to also mention that she was unprofessional from the start. These are just 2 incidents that happened over the the course of working with Graciela, but there are many I could share. I will never do a deal with Graciela, or ONE Southerbys EVER again, and I will be telling everyone I know about this disgusting experience. This brokerage should be ashamed to employ such a dishonest agent.

8 months agoDebbie Potts was beyond wonderful. Not only was she my realtor but became a great friend/confidant over the past 5 years. What started off from a simple open house visit to helping me find my home and sticking by me all these years. We lost out on so many contracts but Debbie never gave up on us. She was always there when we called even at a moments notice. She would always make time for us and be very patient with us. She opened our eyes to a lot more possibilities and never got discouraged by our pickiness or by our rejections. She has helped us in so many ways that we can't cant the numbers of things she has done with us with the home buying process and outside of the process. I would always recommend Debbie to anyone looking to buy or sell as she is persistent and will go the extra mile for her clients. We consider her family :)

10 months agoI want to share my experience with Esperanza Atehortua, my realtor, during what has proven to be a challenging time for buyers in the property market. Esperanza displayed an exceptional level of patience and guidance throughout our entire journey. We never felt like we were dealing with a typical seller; instead, it felt like we had a knowledgeable consultant. Esperanza's expertise and dedication were evident from the start. She took the time to understand our needs thoroughly and was always available to address our concerns or questions. Whether attending open houses or arranging visits to properties we were interested in, Esperanza never hesitated to accommodate our requests. I highly recommend Esperanza to anyone in the market for a new home. In today's real estate landscape, finding a realtor with extensive knowledge of legalities, contract execution, property features, insurance, and more is crucial. Esperanza goes above and beyond, ensuring her clients are fully informed and protected throughout the buying process. In my opinion, Esperanza is more than just a realtor โ she's a specialist and a trusted advisor in real estate. I wholeheartedly endorse her services and am grateful for her support during this significant milestone.

2 years agoKaren service surpassed our expectations. She sold our parents apartments, it was a difficult process as she had to coordinate between sellers who were in different parts of the country as well as have the patience to deal with seniors. Karen was focused on the relationship rather than only on the transaction. Constant communication, transparency and willing to do the extra mile to provide and instill confidence in our parents. In the process she became our friend rather than our realtor. Karen is a rare individual who focuses on the service and other needs rather than the individual transaction.
